Its sounds like as if its a mighty dragon, who is angry for being woken up from its near 60 year slumber and ready to tear apart anything that crosses its path. You can just hear and feel the rage of Henry Ford II behind that engine, clearly saying "You want to play with me? You f*cked around, and now you're about to find out." GOD, I love this and all American V8 muscle cars.
Set her up correctly and give her the beans translates into a nearly 100 mph capacity to just set the rear tires ablaze on the roll. What a bummer.....
I keep falling for the click bait of this vid. Saddens me to see/hear the results of the neglect that big money regularly puts in to this iconic, legendary automobile. Pump gas, vacuum leaks...... poor sods wife is probably just arm candy, too.
The run-on after the pump-gas using "owner" shuts down is due to both low octane fuel and the apparent vacuum leak indicated by the delayed return to idle after the throttle is stabbed. Owner/driver obviously not mechanically inclined. A vacuum leak left untreated can result in severe, fatal damage to piston faces and ring lands
Gimme the keys I would love to drive that beast I’d go through training on a stick shift just so I could drive something like that I can learn it easy just hearing that beautiful sound makes me want to drive it it’s absolutely music to my ears
I know it’s an old video but I feel I have to comment. Owners and non owners of the mighty Gt 500 always talk about that car is fast and I always say put a blower same size and see what happens. I love my BOSS and for what it worth but The BOSS is the best all around S197!
