Why "unsettled"? Fast food restaurants are struggling to find people to work for them, at least ones that speak English. I went to Sonic today and there were 3 people working the, took way too long to get my food, with a robotic burger flipper carrying part of the load food will get done better than humans can do it.
In the UK, all our McDonald's went over to self-service a few years ago. Where you have to faff about tapping on screens. I haven't been back to one since the first one where i encountered this nonsense. I certainly won't be going to a fully automated one.
Anyone who trusts a robot to cook for them is kind of silly we have malfunction machines constantly can you imagine having something wrong with your food by them
i rather it be a machine anyways, cheaper burgers, dont have to worry about unhygenic people, and robots arent greedy with the sauces. Replace them all
I love the concept. No bad tempered, uneducated, nasty attitude, employees the customers can yell at, and threaten, because the shake machine is out of order, AGAIN! 😅
I grew up on McDonald's. I would never frequent a totally automated restaurant. They will come and go, just like the self check out line. Screw large corporations with junk food. 😒
Just wait until a Friday nite or a bus pulls on the lot. Who cleans the bathrooms which always get trashed out as well as the lobby when the customers are gone? Who performs daily maintenance? And who receives shipments? It looks good until you do some research.
The selling point for 100% automated robotics fast food restaurants is the significant reduced risks of deliberate criminal human tampering of food, or accidental tampering of food that result in food poisoning, loss of foetus for pregnant women and deaths.
Gavin Newsom gave $20 min wage pay to fast food restaurants in cali,in the next couple years their will only be one on-site human. The rest will be robotics. More unemployment for Americans.
I will not go to a restaurant that is taking away from people's jobs, I will just cook or make something from home. This is the huge problem with the way America is going!! Why are we wanting to take away from our Citizens jobs? Are you okay with this? I for one will not go to a fully AI restaurant!! Period!!
It work just fine here I'm Texas And the food is excellent no Problem The employee all give or salt fris And smash Hamburger Love adomated MC DONALD FOOD IS NICE AND HOT Not cold like the McDonald restaurant in California
Well, of course not. The money saved on labor will be spent on equipment costs and then repair & maintenance. Once annual labor costs reach a certain point that making the decision to automate becomes a LATERAL move, the decision will be made to move forward, like we are seeing here. Also effecting the decision will be no more call outs, disgruntled employees, inefficient employees, rude or indifferent employees and let's not forget medical claims. So, costs will be similar and so prices will not go down. Now, If the whole "living wage" argument for no skill jobs was never implemented. We'd all be enjoying our $6 meals and there wouldn't be millions of no skill jobs about to be axed in the next 5 or 10 years.
Yes😂 I first notice this change in 2018 when I was in Spain 🇪🇸, good. When you open your order at a MAC. it looks like garbage, maybe now it will look appetizing, besides this I’ve seen them in the restrooms and the employees don’t wash. At least the robots will be hygienic, do they pee?
I'm all for it. They will still need humans to clean the tables, empty the garbage, scrub the toilets, etc., but all food will handled by robots. I love it!
Can make an auto potty brush, can make an arm to swipe and wipe the tables. Down to one employee per store. So, uh, hundreds of thousands of people out of a job, increasing poverty and homelessness. This is awesome. Wait, with fewer people having an income, who will be able to buy their food? Sales go down so prices go up to maintain profits. Since McFood is a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Index, they must maintain and increase their profit to give the illusion that the economy is good. Is only good for the billionaires that profit from putting humans out of work. What a great thing, eh?
These automated restaurants will also have a cardboard cutout of a small, white girl so fat, black women in stretch pants have something to throw their food at.
The government will research a way to come up with taxing the robots, both the city, this county, the state and the federal government. The first one that comes up with the best way to text him will get $1 million bonus from the government.
The only upside I see for these automated restaurants would be that if Karen were to come in they would no longer have anybody to yell at if something goes wrong😢
