I do a lot of pool and billiards instructional videos for advanced players to break them out of ruts and help them continue to progress. I also do a lot of auto repair and home repair videos while occasionally restoring a car, truck or entire house.
I've had this account since 2008 but I didn't start taking it serious until sometime in 2016. Now I'm publishing new content almost daily and have well over two million views.
Great video I tried the first test shot you set up And every time I tried to draw back The cue ball went way too far. Is that what happens to you on tables that you can't draw on? I'm not sure if my table is one that has to go forward or if I am doing something else wrong. Going forward was relatively easy on my table But I just could not draw soft enough with that steep of an angle and the ball that close to the rail. Even a very low and slow draw was too much.
Here I am about to go to a scrap yard and I hear you say clean it and what do you know it opens better than new, I've never seen anything open so crispy thank you sir.
Yo John hope you're well where eyeglasses when you're grinding that glass my good fellow I play with one eye now if you get my meaning later pal hello from Philadelphia insane Joe Kane South Philadelphia senior adult center come on come on come all of you you're all going down
Hi Ronnie... I had to get used to the windshield view and I'm 6'0". It's very limited compared to the Lincoln and the truck. Since I was age 5 I've wanted one but it had to be a convertible and it had to be an SS. I bought it for myself for my 60th birthday just because it was now or never. I must've looked at 100 of them in person and when I saw this I fell in-love. The plan is to never work on a car again or worry about stuff breaking down... I just want to get on the hwy and go with no stress and I'm convinced I deserve that. Peace buddy.
Love the tunes, JD! I have a guy telling me my break is illegal because im hitting it too soft. I pocketed a ball, and another ball crossed the foot spot. It was actually a decent spread. Is that the new thing? Its up to someone watching to say you used enough power? Ive never hit the rack full speed in competition. Im definitely not soft breaking either. Im using dead center ball and timing the delivery. I hope what this goof is saying isn't an actual rule! Let me know wise one.
I think they (the pros) did away with that rule. It used to be 3 points. Every ball above the head-string and every ball pocketed is a point. Some places kept it so it just depends on where you're at and what you and your opponent agree to. Breaking soft while pattern racking is an unfair advantage but there's new ways to keep players from pattern racking also. Peace
Hi Tim, That's the goal - to always offer something that can make a real difference in a pool player's pool life. Living The Dream. Thanks for your support. Peace
Hey John - Always a pleasure to see a JD video in my feed. Gotta admire your accuracy, man. Something to strive for. Love the new ride. Looks like fun! Peace
Hey Pete, The Camaro is fun. It takes a little while to get used to it. I've always had old, used cars so I learn new things about this car everyday. It's hard to keep clean and who the hell needs 426 horse power? She wants to run and I feel kind of guilty for driving it like an old man but that's what I am.. LOL I hope all is going well with you. I guess soon you'll back on the table full-time? Keep me posted.
@@JohnDisque I can just picture you driving like it is church day. Ha! For a while I had a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible. Not 426 HP but it was fun to drive. I am doing really well. Back to playing full time on my 4 teams. Still working on strengthening that left shoulder and arm. Oddly enough, the PT they have me doing should help me in keeping my shoulder from dropping as it gets stronger. Gotta have goals! Take care my friend!
👍 ? how i deal with team mate feel kind frustrated lately we been practicing but i been taking win advantage over him , we are both consider skill level 5 , League start in Nov. but we play 2 vs 2
Just keep your focus on progressing and getting better every day. Don't let the small shit get you down. They're just minor setbacks the mean nothing in the end. Peace
Nice out, stay safe out there, hopw you got to leaen a thing or to sitting in front of the computer an got the stuff done you were wanting to. Thanks for the motivation to put myself out there playing some pool, maybe you could check it out sometime i know your super busy, have a good day, looimg forward to the next video..
Hi Justin, I'm always learning - everyday.... everywhere and everything I do.... usually the hard way.... by failing first. I only got a chance to watch one and it was interesting. You guys see me play all the time but I rarely get to see you guys. It's fascinating for me and sometimes I can see my influence in your styles. My next video is on Bank Pool. It should be published in a few hours. Check it out. Peace
@JohnDisque All good. My foot hurts too bad to play long sessions but I can play short ones so I'm not bitching. I'll take it any way I can get it anymore. Have a good weekend. The Kelleys Island Ferry ⛴️ is closed Friday and possibly Saturday due to the Hurricane 🌀
Hi Jim..., As apparently you can tell... I put a lot of work into this and the video has done OK but..... It's just the way it goes on RU-vid... You kind of have to be the first one to do it if you want the million-views videos. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Peace
Hi John: What do you think about Chinese 8Ball also called Heyball now. Do you ever played on such a 9ft. table with snooker like pockets and woolen cloth? Here in Europe (Slovenia) ended the WCships for women and men yesterday, from the US there were only 2 participants in the women's division, men's none. Would like to read what do you think about. Many thanks!
damn John, anyone with a 1/4 of a brain can see what your trying to show here, all these comment about what your doing is insane to me, pattern racking and where balls ly after break is important. these guys just need to practice their break from soft to extra hard to see where the balls end up with them being racked the same every time, they might learn some valuable info and find their own style of break and racking, instead of just trying to break like SVB and wonder why they don't get the same result !!!!
Thank you in the bolt tips man that is one hell of way to show that all these other videos are done by big time shops pretending to be small time because they don’t say this at all and I don’t know why they do that kind of stuff it’s like they only tell half the story
For someone like me who knows absolutely nothing about faucet parts, could you be more DETAILED in SHOWING the PARTS, and exactly WHY and HOW they are removed and replaced. Thx
Comments good or bad all end up helping your channel and getting more people to watch and potentially subscribe and then you can make the decision to ignore the bad one and just respond to the good ones or you can respond to the negative ones with a thank you for your comment and leave it at that since their comment is still contributing to more people seeing the video and channel growth. Keep doing what you do and I enjoy watching and learning from your videos.
Sure enjoy watching every one of your informative videos. I've learned so much from your instructions. Just wish you would not use the change of voice. It's distracting and hard to understand. But that's just my opinion. Again thank you
Do you have a video on how to care for your shaft like you were doing at the begin of this video? What drill attachment did you use and the grit of the sandpaper? Thank you.
Hey brother great video ! I have a question though , my 1997 chevy silverado k2500 is running lean . I took it to a mechanic who scanned it and it said change o2 sensors and then maf sensor and I straight piped it and then put in all new ac Delco spark plugs wires etc . Cleaned throttle body and then was told to put in new fuel pump and fuel filter . Which I did and checked the pressure and it was fine then went up some hills / mountains here in Alabama on my way to work and bam it lost power went from 70 to 40 with foot on floor . So I was told after they checked the fuel pressure that it was bad to change out the pump an filter again that sometimes they are defective from factory an it's normal for them to change out a pump three times in one day on some trucks . But after the tune up it ran like perfect for a week no rough idle no loss if power an going on the hwy yesterday it showed up check engine again so it was scanned and said same thing change pump an filter running lean. So I did but it's still not running right ? There are no leaks pump is fine and filter I fine no gas leaks . Put in high octane no ethonal and had fuel injection cleaner service done but pressure is 60 with ignition and drops to 50 once cranked and idles at 950 rpm until I put it in drive. It chokes up a little until I'm past 45 mph and still looses power going up a hill . I'm at a loss ? I'm a Chef not a mechanic but I'm broke and spent my last on gas for work until I get paid again . I was told that it might be the fuel pressure regulator to change it ? That is a big task which I will do but I don't know if that's why it's not getting the right amount of gas or not or does it need a whole new fuel regulator assembly? The ac Delco one is 98 bucks at o riellys and 68 bucks on auto parts .com please any help or advice is appreciated. I'm about to loose three days of work since my truck won't make the hour an. Half drive .
I don't know. I want to help but it looks like you covered everything I would consider except the regulator but this would show up in the diagnoses. Is you gas tank clean? Is something floating in it and clogging the pump when you're going up hill? Can you jack the front of the truck high and run a fuel pressure test? If you have a tiny mirror - sometimes you can look down the carb at the right angle and see gas just pouring through the carburetor and that'll tell you your fuel pressure regulator is bad. Another glaring symptom is: using a ton of gas so your gas mileage will be terrible. Another one is the backfire on start up but this doesn't always happen. An after-thought is a pinhole in gas line going from the pump and inside the gas tank, so it wouldn't be leaking any gas but it would be adding a ton of air and a loss of pressure. Without spending some time with it this is all I have. Where in the south are you? There's a chance you're in my area and might be able to get there and see what I can find. Good luck.
My shot making has improved by keeping my elbow up. I will now incorporate using the entire cue for the lineup process. Each incremental enhancement in the shot process adds to my skill level. The game becomes more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing in your relaxed style. Feels like you're one of my pool buddies.
Great Video John. I am having a problem finding the video that comes after Cut shots #1 and #2. Seems like there should be a #3 and maybe more? Can you help?
Hmmmmm..... Were you searching for pool drills? In my earliest pool videos I didn't say anything. I just had a bunch of footage and stuck it on here to get it off my computer. Hope all is going well with you. Peace
I want to tell you thank you for making the video. I have a 97 and mine is also red. I can’t afford to take my truck to get worked on so I have to do all the repairs myself. I noticed that my truck is missing a line of some sort that goes across the top of the radiator would you let me know what it is. This truck was my dad’s and I would love to get it in perfect running condition.
Hey John. 3 weeks ago, before I saw this video, I purchased a 4-in mid shaft extension for my McDermott pool cue. It has made such a huge difference in my long shots and in my confidence. I also put a 21 ounce weight on the end. Obviously I like a heavy end stick. Now that I've become so acquainted with this new extension, I cannot play with a 58-in pool cue any longer. I thought maybe this is just an oddity on my part. But you confirming it made me feel alot better about my choice. Thanks
John I been playing pool for a long time and love the game , I guess you would say I’ve been an average player until I got my sons to playing in the APA . John I’m 60 and I guess. The old saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks is load of bull lol ain’t no truth in that saying
I am so so guilty of saying to myself, "that cluster is so bad for my opponent that I'll let them brake it out and Ill take the spoils of war." So over and over I have under estimated them and they do it fact break it out, leaving themselves a great shot and then running out. I say to myself, ha they just got lucky! :-( Such denial I live in... but I am trying to adhere to yours and other's advice and deal with my own problems,,,, and do it early! Another great video Mr. Disque
