no I haven’t got a tune done on this car yet and yes I did have the stock upper downpipes, no lights came on for me and haven’t since I’ve got them installed I will say thoe I’m thinking about changing them to full downpipes because although it did make the car louder it’s still too quite for my liking I was expecting a more aggressive change then the stock ldp
How much louder did it get with the downpipes? i just installed the Ark grip today but was disappointed at how quiet it was. Im still waiting on my full catted downpipes. I was hopping it’d put it on par with how a muffler delete sounds (volume wise)
It did get louder but i still feel like it’s being restricted and for the money spent im still kind of disappointed with the result but i have heard that the full downpipes open up the sound a lot better than just doing the lower downpipes im considering doing that next would be great if you could let me know how much of a difference it makes for you !
I just installed mine today, honestly i feel like its way too quiet. Compared to say a muffler delete its wayy quieter. The tone is amazing though and gives it a deeper sound but for $2200 i was a bit disappointed. Still waiting on my catted downpipes hopefully that will wake it up a bit.
I agree I felt the exact same way I ended up going with catless lower downpipes and I’ll be honest still wasn’t the sound I was looking for Im considering doing a full downpipe and seeing if that will open it up anymore
I just ended up getting mine from ace hardware I don’t remember the exact ones I got tho but I took the ones that came with the downpipes in with me and just got the same thread and size just a longer length they worked fine for me
@@Q60rs it’s cause when I was looking at getting the car I had done some research and avoided anything before 2018 because i had seen they were having issues with oil pans and such thought maybe you were referring to that I’m still learning about this car as I go so sorry for the miscommunication. and Thanks for the advice !
Yes I did actually but i believe it might be a leak something didn’t get tightened correctly , my exhaust or ldp is hitting against a heat shield, or the bracket holding the ldp didn’t get tightened and its allowing it to move. but i haven’t had a chance to get the car back on the lift and check it out i will update you when i get it figured out
@jessq60rs what was the reason? Because I just installed mine I do hear a little rasp or rattle when I pass by cars . May just be something loose not sure
Hopefully holds up over time, the VR30s are mixed bags. Warranty is useless even if you just do ams intakes and something happens infiniti will shaft you and if the issues bad contact HQ and youll he on the hook (youre making a VLOG so keep in mind your warranty is goodbye- they pay people to monitor youtube and instagram. Had a friend who posted mild clips of his mods on his RS and when his rear diff blew nd he took it into his infiniti, they pulled his socials ASAP, documented it, and voided everything. He was on the hook for every penny.) All that aside, hope you enjoy man. My q60 was fun. It was FBO on 93 tuned at RT runing and ran great for about a year till it got issues. Ended up getting slammed into by a range rover during a rainstorm anyways, then I got mY evo back then. The redsport was a comfortable and quick car for everyday drivin. Hope its good to you.
