Equality means everyone has the same opportunities. Equity means everyone has the same outcome no matter how hard you try, or how lazy you are! Everyone gets a trophy! Next time you have to have surgery, think for a moment about equity and how your doctor earned his/her degree!!! Equity...what a bunch of CRAP!!!! the ruination of our country!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's too bad that's not the district's issue, I have seen first hand throughout the building equality is not the issue, but rather their methods of their teachings and standards. If you really want to set everything behind, be willing to work harder than you ever have and know the real reason why schools like this are in danger
Bravo Superintendent Daley, GC Staff/ Admin, and Boardmembers on having these long-overdue conversations and publicly acknowledging this ongoing historical issue of systemic discrimination, and for creating a plan to address it within our community. You have my full support, both in theory and actions.
I mean black history month was last month they mentioned the same people over the loud speaker the kids are taught about in elementary school when is the curriculum going to change?
There were many times that this presentation skipped and pertinent information was missed!! Please correct this if possible as I feel this was vital information needed to make an informed decision as to which mode we are going to choose. Very frustrating.

Hi Holly. The updated district calendar will be available on the district website on August 5 pending board approval. The district will also be mailing out a printed calendar sometime in August.
