I discovered my breast cancer tumor myself at home through self exam. It was so far into my armpit, a mammogram might not have caught it. It was diagnosed in an early stage, and I only needed a lumpectomy and radiation. I finished treatment one year ago and am doing well. 🤞 Do your self exam!!!
@@paulamartino2882 Thank you Paula for sharing f this with us. I’m so glad that you are cancer free. Please let’s make sure we all check our breasts monthly for any changes.
Yvette I’m glad to hear that you and your family are safe my father passed so my mother was good living by herself for a while although my sister was just a couple of blocks away eventually she came to live with my sister, but my myself and my other sister always were there for help so it really was wonderful and a privilege to be taken care of are Mom I think the problem is with your Dad Is losing your independence to come and go whenever I know it’s hard but thinking about dad and mom. No one wants to lose their independence and it’s something that kind of just chips away at us as we get older. We all have certain ways of doing things and so do our parents. You’re very lucky to still have them. I’m sure you’re doing a great job so just do what you’ve been doing. It sounds like it’s pretty good.❤
@@concettaalcorn686 Hi Concetta, thank you for taking the time to comment. I wish I could get them to come live with me but they are more comfortable living in their home. I am so grateful that I still have them with me. I agree with you that it’s a matter of loosing their independence. No one wants that. My mother is a homebody and doesn’t mind, my father enjoyed going out whenever he desired. That is so hard for anyone and I myself don’t know how I will deal with that when the time comes. I think we all have to learn how our roles change to meet the expectations as we become caregivers. It’s a bit difficult to navigate but with love and kindness we can make it happen. I so appreciate your comments. I’m glad you were able to be there for your mom. And I agree what a privilege to be there for our parents. Thanks again for your support. Stay well 🙏🏻
Yes, the color of the *HOTDUPS* is beautiful, it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag in the colder months when we have things to store, such as gloves, beanies, scarves, etc...
@@yloshaw Hello Yvette, not too many of us out there. Nice to meet you. It’s a very nice foundation. Another good one is L’Oreal True Match Tinted Serum. Both are quite good and very affordable.
Hi Yvette, First I’d like to say, I’m so happy that you and your family are okay! Second, even though you didn’t get to finish your makeup, you look amazing. You are doing a great job looking after your parents! I know it’s hard as they get older and start losing their independence a little at a time. Both my parents have passed away, but I had my sister to help with their care. I can’t imagine what I would have done without her. My father had Alzheimer’s so we had our hands full with helping out. I’ll keep you in my prayers because under the best of circumstances I know it’s not easy. But what a blessing that you still have them! Big hugs to you dear friend ❤
@@ladyyaya6782 Hello Yaya, thank you. We were so lucky with this storm and with Helene. My heart breaks for the thousand of people that were so affected with these storms. I’m sorry but our poor planet doesn’t know what to do with itself. I’m so sorry that you had to deal with your father’s illness. I have been lucky with both of my parents. My mother is beginning to experience signs of dementia; my father is still pretty sharp. I love them both so much and want the best for them. I keep apologizing to my son in advance for what I might put him through. Anyway we do the best that we can. Help them as much as possible and pray that they can appreciate the things that we do. Not for any thanks but to know we have their best interest at heart. I hope they can both stay in their homes where they are comfortable. Thank you Yaya for listening and for being a friend. RU-vid has blessed me with a lovely group of people that I would never have met otherwise.🙏🏻🥰
You have mentioned that you have a few men who watch, so I'll include them in the breast cancer self check - an Uncle of mine was diagnosed with it!! Everyone needs to be aware!!
Looking beautiful. I don't have any children (and I'm a man), and I'm a little younger than you (which I'd never know if you hadn't mentioned your age), but my parents were around the same age as yours. I say 'were' because my mother died a little over two months ago. She had just made it to 91 and a couple of months. She'd been in a care home for a little over a year. My father died back in 2000 at the age of 67. The doctor told my family on New Years Eve 1999 (the eve of the millennium) that he didn't have long left. He died just a few days into the start of 2000. I'm glad your parents are still in reasonably good health. I'm finding it very hard to get over my mothers death.
@@billyr4556 Oh Billy, I am so very sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what it would be like to loose a parent. I am so lucky that both of mine are alive and reasonably well. Life is sometimes a struggle, no matter how well things are going it seems that at times there are little, and big, things trying to take away our peace. When my brother passed away I found that music was such a comfort to me. The memories that we shared also helped to keep me from feeling so alone. Although, your mom is no longer here, you carry her in your heart. Please accept my deepest condolences.
@@PolishedAfterSixtyYvette Thank you for your condolences. I lived with my mother. I wasn't her 'caregiver' as such as such, but I did end up having to look after her in her last few years before the care home. She would fall out of bed almost every night and I'd have to try and help her up. I wish I had been able to do a better job. I still live in her house, which she wanted me to. I'm sorry about your brother. He must have been very young. I hope both your parents are around for a lot longer.
@@billyr4556 I understand how difficult it is. I had an aunt who suffered from many falls in her later years. We had someone who stayed with her and we took turns watching her as well. Sometimes we don’t have the training that we need to take care of them. I wish our system of healthcare allowed for professionals to be at home with our seniors. Of course we can get that help directly but it can be cost prohibitive. I am most sure that you did the best that you could for your mother. And most of all I’m certain that she knew it. When we have such a loss in our lives we take it minute by minute. Please take care of yourself during this most difficult time. Sending positive thoughts.
Thank you for sharing, Yvette, I wish you all the best with managing this tricky situation. My Dad died in 2002 from melanoma, he was 83, independent and healthy until the few weeks and Mum died 5 years later from brain cancer, also 83 and very independent until the last couple of months. As the youngest of 7, by quite a few years, my elder bossy siblings took care of most things towards the end. I have 4 sisters and they pretty much got things done .. I miss both my parents every day as I was very close to them. I hope your Dad can make things a bit easier for you and accept your advice on some things, like bill payments and the driving … sending prayers. Donna 🧚🏻♀️❤️🐝🇦🇺
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Many really wealthy people I know care less about the social implications of buying fakes. Plus, they might look down on "hillbillies" who spend so much money on a ridiculously overpriced bag. With luxury brands once again raising prices and limiting inventory, the replica version of luxrul is even more attractive.
Somos bendecidos.
It’s a lovely foundation, I have it on auto delivery so I always have it! You can find it on Amazon: liketk.it/4S2Vg?product=f46cb412-79c8-11ef-aa0a-0242ac11002b
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I think it's a bit outrageous for people to be walking around a big city with a $10,000+ designer bag on their arm, you might as well hold up a "please rob me" sign. Secondly, I really don't feel sorry for these brands, they raise their prices at least twice a year, so basically they are driving any potential customers into buying fakes *topluxs*
Cute outfits, Yvette. Very sorry to hear about the terrible storm hitting so many people. Best of luck with your upcoming election, the world is hoping for a positive outcome. Love from Australia. 🧚🏻♀️❤️🐝🇦🇺
Hi Yvette, I love all the outfits 🩷🩷🩷🌸 The color of the two piece lounge suit is great for your complexion. I’m so sad about the devastating impact on Asheville, I pray they recover quickly. I will definitely be voting, I have voted in every election since I turned 18, it’s definitely the minimum requirement of citizens in light of the fact that so many have given their lives fighting for our freedoms. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🗳️
Your channel has great quality content, but it isn't reaching the right audience due to SEO issues. You should focus on improving your SEO to build a larger fan base. Thanks!
I’m 61 and it creases and disappears in my labial fold, around my nose, and forehead creases. I use a mineral powder to cover those areas and I love this foundation. I feel so much better after trying 29 different foundations and was always a full coverage girl due to scars, and rosacea. But I learned that is not the way to go as you age.
I agree, using a lighter weight foundation seems to work best for me now. I also make sure that I moisturize beforehand and a primer with a little bit of glow. I don’t usually powder but I do use a setting spray. I’m really enjoying it whenever I wear makeup. Thanks for taking the time to comments😊
Yvette, I am watching - that was so sweet of you. I thought petal was a cooler color! I also sent you a water color cream by Daniel Sandler in a cool color for your cool complexion...let me check on it....now back to watching! But the classes are not working as well for me lol
