Hi, I got a drone a few months ago! I have a Mavic 2 Pro. You have some great footage here, but I thought you couldn't fly from Davis Creek Park. If its ok, I will be doing the same, LOL. Again great footage! Maybe I'll run into you some time.
Doug - Thanks for the comment. To be clear, you are correct that you cannot fly inside Davis Creek Park or any Washoe County Park. I was two miles outside the park and outside the Washoe County Open Space boundary. I was off the trail as well. Lots of Karen’s out there commenting about the rules. @@AngstAerialImaging I had thought about being just outside the park and now I know it can be done. I'll have to get out there soon. I had to laugh about the "Karen's" LOL. I have yet to run into one, but I know they are out there. I've only had the drone for a couple of months and love it, but still worried about losing is somewheres. I've got to get over that fear. I've been mostly flying over on the west side of Washoe Lake, near where the hang gliders land. Wide open space and pretty far from the water. I'm sure we'll run into each other some time. BTW, I found out about you on Nextdoor, I think your wife posted your video and told about the hiking at Davis Creek.
hey Ken, that's me talking to you, I was just out walking my dog when I saw you flying. I bought a drone this week and am having fun with it so far. I bought a lower end but nicely equipped drone, Holy Stone HS720E, a good affordable starter drone, working great so far. Will check out some more of your videos. At first I was like, where is my dog, but you can see her as you start to pan down in the beginning of the video, she is in the very low left corner wandering around by that picnic table. haha
@@AngstAerialImaging yup, 4k resolution as well as 1080. Lots of good features for the price, about the only downside I have found is the range is somewhat questionable, but all in all, very good for the money so far. I may upgrade to a dji or something else if I decide to spend more and continue the hobby.
