I wanted to ask you because I think I have the same problem as you and I wanted to make sure before buying it. in my case, the thread where it fits with the red clip has broken. They ask me to buy the whole cable for €200! With that piece I don't need that thread of the original cable?
How do you make sure that it doesn't keep turning and unscrewing itself when engaging the clutch over time? Is that Allen Bolt on the top piece where you Tighten it up to keep it from unscrewing itself?
I love this bike but only thing i dont like is parallel twin engine i think all touring or low rider bikes should have v twin engine.parallel twin engine looks good only on sports or naked bikes
Just remove the heat shield and drill 3/8 round holes just through the outer skin start off with four to six you can go up to about 12 to get the sound you're looking for make sure they're located where the heat shield will hide them.!!!!! If you want it louder than that you can use a two and one eighth in door knob hole borer right in the bottom of the muffler this will give you a nice deep Rumble most people or the cops won't even notice it you can leave the baffle in!!!!!

I went riding with a friend who owns a 2017 Yamaha Bolt. His stock exhaust sounds so much better than my Kawasaki Vulcan 650 S! I will definitely be replacing the exhaust in the near future!
MrEye4get you can remove the heat shield and drill 3/8 inch holes in the muffler start off with about four to six keep adding holes to you get the sound you're looking for you can go up to about 12 make sure they're located where the shield will hide them when you reinstall the shield these are beginner bikes they are governed there's a hidden Loop wire under the left side cover simply unplug it tape it up this will give it more acceleration there's also a throttle stop that stops the throttle from opening up all the way removing this will give you 10 to 20 more miles per hour top end
