Hosted by Ryan Socash - Over 20 years ago I traveled from Chicago to Krakow, where I began the romance of a life time - European culture! My obsession grew to the point that in 2006 I permanently relocated, eventually taking on Polish citizenship, the language, a business, and a family. As the years pass, I found that the more I learned about my new country, the more of a foreigner I realised I was. Basically, the complexities of slavic people pose more questions than answers, and in a way thats how they keep me fascinated. Experience Europe through the eyes of an American immigrant.
The food is better than that he didn't choose the right food. Its like this some times when you travel some guys just have bad luck when it comes to finding the right restaurant.
The DEMOCRATS wouldn't let him have sports betting because their Majority Leader was from Nevada. They let Colorado sell dangerous drugs but they wouldn't let NJ take sports bets.
It is false to speak only about Poland, when talking about Mickiewicz and showing map of territories which were Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth. A multi-ethnic nation consisted from what is today: Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, and part of Ukraine. Many jews and tatars also lived there. It is straight lie to call it simply 'Poland". Adam wasn't born in today's Poland, but in today's Belarus. He called himself Litvin refering to the Great Dutchy of Lithuania which is NOT Poland. He was enhusiastic to bring back Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth which existed for 400 years and was partitioned not long ago by neighbouring countries in Mickiewicz lifetime. It is NOT just what is today's Poland. It is unfair that Poland puts exclusive rights to the shared historical figures. Mickiewicz was born what is today's Belarus, wrote in Polish, but he did know Lithuanian language too and lived and wrote some time in Vilnius, Kaunas, which is today's Lithuania. Ironically, Mickiewicz never had a chance to visit the main cities of today's Poland, be it Warsaw or Cracow. Poland has to learn to share history and stop talking about everything exclusively "Polish".
I miss going to Poland for the whole of the 2010s I only went there 3 times per year with my ex partner and daughter who is half polish absolutely love Poland and the people augustowski noc
This is the single most cringe video I have seen about studying polish. It's all about the guy. Plus when he asked his 2nd question to Paulina, clearly he wasn't listening to the first answer he received. Cringe Cringe Cringe.
Hi, what the fk did you just asked? I'm from Poland, lived under Communism, not to mention my parents PTSD from WW2, Holocaust, Genecide of my people. Bro, I'm coming home to live the rest of my life in Peace. Big "NO", to all the Freeloaders. My country was 75 percent in ruins. Poland rose from ashes, we rebuilt our country, food supply, and everything else. The difference between Polish people and those crawling for Asylum, is that Poles are not lazy, I don't owe anyone else anything, just my people.
Now you can just go across the border to Hungary and eat the same foods, except halusky which is made from cow's milk in Hungary, sheep in Slovakia. You are speaking Polish in Slovakia? You know that in Poland what they say about Slovak language right? You don't know about Polak Wegier dwa bratanky? Co?
Okay, what makes you Polish? Knowledge of the language, history and respect for the country and national symbols. During the partitions, so 123 years, when Poland disappeared from the map of the world, Polishness was preserved in people, not in the land. People risked their lives teaching children our history and created beautiful works of art and literary that today are symbols of patriotism. You don't have to live here or know Polish geography to be Polish but you should know the history of this country and treat it with respect because the number of people who died so that Poland could exist today is gigantic. We survived partitions, wars and communism not thanks to the passport, but thanks to the memory of our tradition and history.
I call bullshit. It's not a language. This is what happens when you let a culture of failure dictate a future. Education is a key to build hope and survival. That is hood talk. It was "I have a dream" not I has a dream
2:29 I loved this lady, she is very knowledgeable and kind 3:33 guy thank you for being interested and supportive, but we are not at war and there is nothing serious
