Would it be naive of me to ask if we couldn’t organise a sale for international shipping to Italy? Or, could we find that you do on your website? Pardon, you only came into my orbit very recently. I’m a big fan of homemakers, gardners, farmers and diy. Pardon me again that I’m betwixt of regarding my part as one.
I’ve seen many metal raised beds now out on the sides when heavy rains or snow came. They looked terrible. Just put a copper ribbon on the wood bed side to keep snails/slugs out.
I tried this with spinach this year. Just mixed 5 varieties, and strew them about . Working great. Might do the same with carrots and beets.Rows are overrated 😂
I use heat treated wood pallets to make deep planters and use a brick or another pallet to raise them off the ground. Works nicely for a small paved garden 😊
Okay well you are using pine for a start. Yes will rot very fast. Try to char the wood and use boiled linseed on it. Try Finding reclaimed old hardwood from old buildings/bridges/wharves etc. garden lengths shouldn’t be in high demand
I must be in the minority. Ground beds, and I put slugs in the compost bin. The ground was definitely tough at the start, lot of rocks and heavy clay. The solution, albeit one that took several years, is compost and growing beans. Gardening since 2008.
