Moto | BMX | MTB I've been riding bikes since I was a little kid, from BMX racing in the 80's to Freestlye in the 90's then progressing to motorcycles for the great fun and adventure you get from riding. In the early 90's I had an 8mm camera that we used everywhere and made VHS movies which there is a little footage left (see the 1993 video) and then had a family and riding took a back seat for a bit but now with the kids old enough to participate in riding and new camera tech its time to make some videos of our adventures. Hope you enjoy!
@@David-m7f3g Leatt 4.5 they’re the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had, got a wide foot. And they’re not expensive for how good they are, they do squeak though lol
Cool video thanks mate. I've had the update and yes it seems to be smoother at low revs. I'm ditching my gopro and going to the Insta 360 Ace Pro camera. I believe the DJI Action 4 is a good camera too.
First time I ever got the cfmoto app then connected to my bike and straight up it says I have the latest version nothing to update. I was a bit disappointed. Tried again a week later and the app updated but nothing else happened. I haven't noticed any difference. Throttle still snatchy.
Test drove one of these bikes recently, hear where your coming from about throttle jerkyness, especially light throttle response from 2500 - 5000 revs. Not really bad, enough to muck your corner line up, especially riding in town. Bike shop assured me updates had been made and if I wanted to see what real jerkyness was, I should test ride their KTM 390 Adventure! 😅 Not really the answer I was looking for TBH.
@@rigley8830 because I ride an enduro bike as well I’ve always got a finger on the clutch so i probably use it without thinking if it gets jerky. And that’s probably why it doesn’t bother me much🤷🏼♂️
Wet muddy grass and a big hill was asking a lot of those tyres, it looks a beautiful area. Thanks for posting it anyway, always nice to see another 450MT.
Hi Eddy, I felt the difference on my bike with the upgrade but after doing g a long stretch at 100 and then back in the slow traffic it felt jerky again for a little bit then was fine again. New tyres definitely helps. What gopro are you using
@@bazz6670 hero 9 with media mod, not sure what was going on but I have had a couple of issues in the past so not sure what’s going on never done that before. Couple of times I’ve changed the battery and it says not a GoPro battery 🙄 when it is
@@EddyOtway just to put my 2 pence worth in. ive always used go pro, latest was hero 8 black, with media mod and external mic, it always drops out at some point even with genuine batteries, and before the last tour lost a lot of footage on one ride in particular i was pissed off about, so went and bought an Osmo Action 4, UI is so easy and intuitive compared to gopro, buttons are far more positive, i get 2 hrs at a time per battery and the standard sound is better(with a cheap windshield) although connecting an external mic doesnt work because you have to leave a side door open to use it, all in all a far better camera, footage is crystol clear and more stable than the gopro too i would say
My 16 year old grand son has an 04 fe450 and a 1999 fe501, currently the 450 is running well and we plan to have the 501 running before Christmas. He would love to ride on a day like this. Where was the ride?
what an awesome ride...i've got an 03 FE501 with Kehin flat-slide pumper in my fleet and it is by far my favourite bike; had a couple of KTM 300's which were fun but lacked the character and feel of the mighty 'Berg; i haven't been on a decent enduro ride for a few years now so watching this was enjoyable; how was this ride organised?
@@markhills3922 a local guy who loves bergs he got all the crew together, he only let me come so I could film it lol so I had some blue plastics and fitted right in, although my 14 husky is pretty much berg anyway
@@EddyOtway i guess i should of asked how he got the word out..an online group or something? yeah, the husky 250 and 300 2 smokers and 'modern' 501's are 'Bergs in plain clothes.
@@EddyOtway sweeet; i look forward to it; there's plenty of guys riding the 450MT but none are really having a good crack at it; they are all in 'adventure' mode which is fine but they aren't really testing the bikes limits; i was going to buy one but found a Low K (34,000) '06 R1200GS at the last minute after looking for over Two years; the Beemer will better suit what i want out of a bike these days; the GS was cheaper than the 450MT and seeing as i had an '04 GS that i loved but had to sell, i decided on the Beemer....i'll let you guys sort out the issues before i buy the next model 450MT....nah, just having a dig; i doubt there'll be any real issues but as a BMW owner, i am obligated to bag any other brand of bike; where in the Otways are you? i'm in the Pyrenees on the way to Ararat.
Mate thats nothing like my milk run I can tell you. Keep up the good work. I'm one of those new subscribers and yes this bike is very popular globally atm. My channel has gown a lot too. On my 1st ride video I got 7.5k views which I still can't believe.
@@mountainconstructions it does look big when sitting on it, but does feel big or heavy riding. And it’s not hard to pick up, I dropped it in the sand last week 👍🏻
@@MarioDiaz-co3px no, as soon as I saw this bike online, I knew it would be good. I looked at the KTM 390 the Himi wasn’t on my radar as my sister worked in a bike shop and said they had a lot come in with problems, but that was the old model not the new one.
I'm convinced both by the bike's capabilities and your riding skills, harsh terrain always is like 3x worse in real life tha what it looks on video, when i saw the sandy part i knew i would have probably fallen in my bike. I lack skills and my bike isn't as well suited as this bike, reasons why this bike will replace my Versys X300.
@@Al.j.Vasquez it’s all practice, as they say it’s 80% rider 20% bike, sand is tricky and probably hard to find in some areas where people ride and I think a lot of people hate or are scared of sand. But if you find some give it a go 🤘🏼
