Jemma Johnson is a rising singer-songwriter from Derby, UK. Jemma was raised on David Bowie, Paramore and Damien Rice, which bred a love of big choruses and lyrics that really hit home.
Jemma wrote her new single ‘Sing it With Me’ after a solo night out trying to move on from someone. She says ‘No matter what I did, the music kept pulling me back to how much I missed them.’
Having gigged with the likes of Charlie Simpson, Beth McCarthy and James Walsh and with so many great gig and festival dates incoming this year, Jemma is set to continue winning over bigger and bigger audiences across the UK.
@jemmajohnson great job. I was keeping my expectations very low. I loved Emily's/Beth's version in the context of the show. I had never heard the original until after I heard her cover. You totally blew my expectations away with your version. Tom would be proud I'm sure. Also, great hair 😊
This is nice but my favorite cover by far is from Madison Cunningham - check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o6o0bAncepk.htmlsi=vMELkTK7IxdAQKIb
I remember Joni Motchell very well .... Guess who loved and admire her? Jimmy Page and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin: They actually composed few songs in her style ... listen to Going to California ... Plant is singing aboyt Joni .... You version of the River is fantastic!
Ahhhh such a beautiful cover! Just discovered you while trying to find a good cover of Carly Simon’s Nobody Does it Better and stumbled upon you. Just closed my eyes and listened to this- I love Fleetwood Mac but sometimes their arrangements have become too gimmicky for radio play. This is one of the most beautiful covers of a song I’ve ever heard. Really love the arrangement you’ve done with it and how you’ve made it sound even more like a romantic love song. The way your voice rises and falls in certain parts and the way you sing the words is just brilliant! Thank you for this. I look forward to hearing more music from you.
Beautiful song and cover. Delicate and soft voicing to my ears! It is a John Lennon song. He should have been credited of this song in the description and the video title ...
