Awesome video, great explanation! You covered all the bases!!! I did it exactly how you instructed and it worked for my wife’s 2015 Explorer the very first try! Thank you maam!
it looked better before you just needed to clean it gently and not remove the finish its likely fake oil rubbed bronze anyway so its likely hard to damage the finish you need to clean it its not tarnished it just has hard water stains
I have a 2016 Ford expedition with a Homelink system I believe from your video. When I try and pair the remote control in my hand to the Homelink system, the garage door closes or opens depending what mode it was in, and it’s not programming the garage door opener. I did try clearing the first and third buttons in the system as you suggested, but for some reason, I can’t get it to program the car garage door opener to my garage door opener. Any suggestions?
When I was programming, it took several tries before it programmed. My garage door would also open and close many times while I was attempting to program it. I know it can be frustrating, it was for me at times. I would continue to Follow the programming steps and see if it will Work. It took several times of trying to program it before it worked for me too.
I am so glad you had a blast! It’s a great way to escape the heat. That is funny, that they both think alike. Those boys must love their grey tank tops.
@@SIWVideosHaha, mine definitely likes them, he basically lives in tank tops. He wears the tank undershirts every day and he sleeps in them too. And whenever we go swimming he wears a regular tank top as a swim shirt
Didn't even get through the entire video and was excited to know that the key component here is the original garage door opener. That did the trick and I was able to update all 3 garage doors flawlessly. Thank you so much.
You are so right. The water is very cold. The first time we went to the west coast, a few years ago, we touched the water and it was such a shock. We are accustomed to the water in the Gulf and on the east coast. They were braver than me. I just can’t do it. My feet in the water is the most I can do and not for long. To top it off on the day we went it was only 70 degrees outside.

Thank You so very much for putting this video up!! I watched a Ford video that did nothing but make me angry! I followed your amazingly clear directions and it worked on the first try!
Your video is absolutely excellent! Very simple! When I went through the ford’s video, it was confusing! Yours is a shear perfection!🎉🎉🎉 Thank you very much for taking the time for putting this video together!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! No other videos I watched said anything about resetting/clearing existing programming, turns out that’s exactly what I needed to do so I could do the ‘easy’ programming of holding my existing button with one of the home link buttons. Easy breezy after that! Thank you!!!
It is possible for it to happen. After it happened, was the Homelink programmed? Did the Homelink work on the door? The remote opener will continue to work after Homelink is programmed. You can use the remote opener as an extra or backup. If Homelink did not work after your door closed, keep trying the programming process. I do not know why, but even on mine sometimes it took going through the steps multiple times for it to program.
