I like to build and kitbash Warhammer models, 40k in particular. I got into the hobby in the mid 90's but took a break when I moved from sunny England to Australia in 2011 as I had to leave my beloved army behind which put me off for a while.
But then, In the grim dark of 2020 I picked up a box of space marines to see if I still enjoyed the hobby which was an instant mistake to my wallet, as several boxes of plastic kits later I had once again become hooked. On this channel I hope to share my love for the hobby, and to showcase the art of creating something new and exciting from various kits and parts available.
Beautiful conversion, doing the same myself. Maybe the red cape was too vibrant and the armour was too light, but that's the Loyalist look you went for. 10/10 thank you for the video buddy.
Looks good! Also really like the torso, will need to look that up once I will be painting a Breacher squad in the far future. Still have a lot of other stuff to paint that needs to get done. :-)
I made some myself but just used Tau arms and weapons on Cadian shock troop bodies, you don't notice the missing finger on the tabletop! edit - although these are pretty cool! I like the colour scheme with the pink - my own Tau army is painted with SAS desert camo pink as the main colour, bluish gray as the highlight colour (was inspired by a photograph of a kestrel I found)
Duuuude this is an awesome kitbash, makes me want to grab a venomcrawler for myself and try sticking a torso on it. There's so many bodies that could look cool centaured onto one of those things.
Good job. Don’t take this the wrong way but when it was finished it reminded me of something…I couldn’t place it. Then it hit me…there’s something of the Ronald McDonald about the paint scheme. 😅
Thanks, They are some nice sculpts, I wasn’t going to worry about getting them too much but they came out so close to my birthday that I felt it was clearly fate 🤣
That does sound a cool idea though I am not sure how one would work in game so to speak, maybe a head swap and some fancier looking guns and could use as a proxy for something, they already have some good detailing on the armour, I guess the size might be an issue though I haven’t actually worked on centurions yet.
Thanks 😊 if it wasn’t for real life getting in the way you would be seeing vids a lot more often. The editing time is a real killer when you have work and kids lol
Glad you liked it, makes a nice small centrepiece though if I were to do it again I would put the hover drone a bit lower, she sticks out a little too much on the tabletop!
I am afraid I have to agree on the music, and I am going to fix it hopefully soon. I used to have a track which I had paid for but RU-vid kept taking my videos down, then putting them back up again once I sent them the evidence that I had a right to use it :( It was getting tiring so I made my own and as you can clearly tell I am not a musician xD
This is a very novel approach to the concept! I am just now getting back into Tau after nearly 10 years and am looking to make a kill team first. Your video is the perfect inspiration. I had never considered using Necromunda figures.
Glad to have inspired 😄 some of the boxed games models GW do are really good kit-bash material, there’s some lovely underworlds ones that I’m turning into inquisitional agents. That being said they just released some inquisitional agents too so that project will likely go on hiatus xD
The day you do a video with no mistakes I'll unsubscribe lol. Nice conversion on the imagifier, I would have tried to make it far to complex trying to keep some of the old banner and merge with the new one... i fear we are both insane lol
I think sanity goes out the window when one decides to take up kit-bashing xD At this point I feel a mistake free video is highly unlikely, the perils of having kids to distract at any opportunity they see fit!
I don't think one would go amiss. probably one of the corrupted demonic looking ones like the actual possessed have would be ideal, the ones from the regular marines are just bit too normal I think.
@@DangieMiniatures I've accumulated a decent amount of minis as gifts that I recently started dipping my toes into Kill Team with. A firstborn Blood Angel tactical squad, and some intercessors, all painted as Lamenters.
Nice, I recently acquired some of my first models from my parents house and im going to likely do the marines in there up to be some Blood Angels as they were one of my favourites. That is once I have removed several hundred layers of paint :( that being said some battered old metal terminators would probably work for the boys in yellow too
Glad you enjoyed it! Yea, I have had a lot of time issues in the past 6 months or so, I either have the time or the money to work on things but rarely both! 🤣
I did something similar with the invictor war suit. A few dreadnought parts and some plasticard later and it looked a lot nicer. This looks much more involved and it's very impressive
Thanks, I have a couple of invictor that I am working on eventually, was likely going to do similar. I don’t mind them so much being a bit open compared to a dreadnought but at least give them a proper canopy and some front armour!
glad you liked it :) From a distance you cant see them but if you get in close you can, that being said they aren't painted very well as they are rather hard to get at, so maybe leaving them off would have been a good idea. If I were to do it again I would probably not have them in there as it is a bit of a waste of space marine bodies.
