Thanks for honoring free speech. Because we never know what horrible things could happen to us ... we can't completely overcome fear. But at least if we resign ourselves to the belief that just as occurs with other animals ... we only have this one life TO live ... that we don't ... and never did have "souls" that fly away to an afterlife to either be rewarded ... or ... punished ... we will only have this one life over which to worry. When I stopped believing that the best part of me was in a spirit realm with a god ... and that the universe never was created ... it was then that for the first time in my life I felt whole ... just as I am. No more listening to preachers about how THEY are saved ... and I am still nothing other than a lost sinner. What a wonderful feeling of freedom from the PRESS ... pun intended.
Thanks for honoring free speech. Many preachers of religion want us to believe that suffering makes us strong. Suffering never made me strong. It did however result in me asking questions … such as why a god that professed high moral standards would "choose" to create a universe where suffering would have “a need” to exist. As a result of me asking questions such as that one … I eventually was able to thankfully shed all those ancient man-created tales as being nothing other than silly old myths … legends … and folklore. What a relief it was for me to in turn start believing as did and do some scientists … that in one form or another … the universe and electricity always existed … no creator … no plan … and that suffering of all forms of life is natural. As a child, I never could figure out why a god that lived on spiritual manna in heaven … would create a realm on earth where forms of life would have to live off other forms of life … just to survive. I used to wonder “What ‘were’ you thinking?” Not much has changed ... as those that persist in believing that the universe was created ... are determined to keep us forever ... in the dark ages. From the book ... Microbe Hunters by Paul de Kruif … published 1926 At this time it was much more respectable and safe to be a scientist than it had been when Leeuwenhoek began his first grinding lenses. The Grand Inquisition was beginning to pull in its horns. It preferred jerking out the tongues of obscure alleged criminals and burning the bodies of unknown heretics, to persecuting Servetuses and Galileos. The Invisible College no longer met in cellars or darkened rooms, and learned societies all over were now given generous support of parliaments and kings. It was not only beginning to be permitted to question superstitions, it was becoming fashionable to do it.
Just be honest with yourself, you all know how to be kind, and fair. Only by being a good person, will you find happiness. Karma will always find you. X

When I left religion behind as being faulty man-created information ... I decided that my behavior was up to me ... and me alone. What a relief ... to believe that I only have this one life to live ... and that if I do my best ... I will have succeeded as much as is possible. What a relief ... to believe that there isn't any afterlife where "souls" go to be either rewarded ... or rejected by a god to a state of eternal suffering. The moment I discarded all religious indoctrination as being faulty information ... that major mental adjustment ... gave me the freedom ... to function on my own.

Your destiny is your past. All you can do is strive for a better future. A better destiny. We have all lived different lives. Some are less fortunate than others. Offer everyone respect and kindness. Including yourself. It's ok to fail. Never prepare to have something that you do not have. (Anxiety) Because if it doesn't come to you, it will cause problems. Disappointment. Sadness. Frustration. Sleep problems. Relationship problems. Anger. Depression. Lack of faith in outcomes. If you apply for a car loan, for example, fill out the form assuming you will not get the loan. And walk away. Never underestimate a drunken person you see sitting in the gutter with worn clothing.
