Can LDN be taken with along with methotrexate? I have been diagnosed with Sjogren's and while the methotrexate has helped with brain fog and energy levels I am still having a lot of pain and neuropathy, which really holds me back.
Only if there is an inflammatory component to it, which cannot be absolutely ruled out. In any case, the endorphin released could also potentially help. It would be worth trying, keeping in mind that you will have to persevere for around 6-9 months before ruling it out (assuming that you don't think it has made any difference). Another avenue to explore is neuroplasticity training which is likely to have longer term positive results. Do research this. It's in many ways still relatively unknown but results are encouraging and most exercises are done in your own time.
Good Information. Only thing I can add, is that when I was researching LDN for my own AI dosorder, I was struck by the findings/conclusions of LDN Founder Dr. Bernard Bihari. Peer Dr. Bihari, ALL Autoimmune and Cancer patients share a trait that is certainly remarkable to me. Per Dr. Bihari, ALL Autoimune and Cancer patients if tested would show that (for some reason) their bodies can no long produce Endorphin Hormones at Normal levels. Per Bihari, most AI and Cancer patients are vertually devoid of Endorphins. If they were properly tested for them anyway. But the problem is apparently, that tesing for Endorphin levels is not easy -- requires that they be done in a Laboratory setting or part of a formalized study. I wish more Doctors knew about LDN. Especially for Cancer. One of the main results of Chemo is that it destroys a patients Immune system. And certainly I do believe LDN could help with that and significantly improve Cancer outcomes by restoring the Immune System. In my view anyway.
Thanks for you comment Patrick. We are certainly spreading the work, training other medical practitioners, allied healthcare practitioners and lay people within the LDN Research Trust which holds conferences annually. Local (UK based) pharmacies have also started talking more about it and we are helping to train more practitioners working in functional medicine, in the use of LDN.
Do you have any advice for my situation. I had my morning cortisol checked and it was a 9. I had a 30lbs unintentional weight loss in a 5 month time frame. All other blood work has been normal. I had back to back panic attacks Jan-till about June. I dumped so much cortisol I believe. I’m scared of Addison’s disease but my blood work didn’t alert of Addison’s my doctor said. I have no symptoms just weight loss and low cortisol. What can I take to I’m tease my cortisol or make my body regulate it. I started drinking Licorice root tea and teaonjc I love my adrenals. I can’t see an endocrinologist till January. Every doctor refuses to run any more in depth test other than morning cortisol

Glad you're helping people with LDN. Sound quality could be improved with a better mic or a less "boomy" room. More LDN info Low dose Naltrexone (LDN) for chronic illness & infections…. facebook.com/groups/108424385861883
