For Adaptive Frames I always build an Industrial workbench near my Outpost beacon saves me time fast travelling and also if I have enough resources all of them in the Outpost and have them all in the Workshop on my ship + Infirmary! Why your telling people to fast travel back to the lodge to build t here is really beyond me. Otherwise good guide and some tips and tricks I never knew about especially the windows in habs, thanks!
was bout to type this but got beat to the punch haha XD and if playing solo single player option grinding speed should be set to 1X with the basic grinder is the slowest you can go
fantastic video. I personally use the wire size glitch to resize stuff all the time. Also, your video on teleporter elevator and the way way easier way to glitch the teleporters on top of eachother was clutch lol. my Teleporter relays now are so much easier to make.
I also noticed something myself- the wire cloaking thingie looks so dumb sticking out in your build. BUT I figured out you can use the terrain manipulator to dig a hole- place the cloaking device- and then use the restore function of the terrain manipulator to hide it! 😅
This stuff is gold! I could have saved myself a whole lot of time today trying to center a floor panel under that huge dome. Though it still would have taken time playing with triangles to get them pointing at the middle of that floor panel when they refuse to snap where you need them. I don't know why things try to snap at locations well away from where the part is being held. Especially the big triangle failing to snap on small panels or triangles.
All of your videos are just so educational and even more awesome, but this one is even better than your first wire glitch video. I love how through you are with this new series. I need that! Thank you, Beeblebum!!
Definitely a good idea to rebrand the blender glitch as the wire glitch, given how prevalent use of the Blender software is it could confuse people as to how something was built and maybe even make it even more daunting to approach glitch building. "Blender glitch?! I definitely don't want to have to learn Blender!" lol
I have recently started doing more serious buildings and found your videos very insightful and helpful. Also, thank you for doing the yearly updates to keep up with new/modified techniques.
I only build using KB and mouse. The tip is to create KB macros. I only have 2 of them, 1 for adjacency and 1 for the wire glitch. If you can't program macros directly using the KB's software there is a software you can download to create macros called Auto Hotkey. But most keyboards nowadays come with a downloadable KB management tool that has a section to program quick keys and macros. I hope that helps.
Fascinating. Would you say that glitch building is more about obtaining unique positioning rather than placing parts where we should not be able to do so?
In the end glitch building is used to do things that are either impossible or hard to do in vanilla building. The aim of glitch building, in my case has always been more about precision and exact shapes. I do believe there are 2 types of builders, some that use glitch building as a tool, others as a goal. But, imo, glitch building as a goal tends to look messy and over-complicated. I am not sure if that answered your question... lol
Hi man. Nice video. I learn a lot how to build in nms with u. But I got stucked now, i'm trying to build on pilar with extended wood wall, i did the pilar with the four sides, but i cant use any construction near that pilar, I dont know how to solve this, would like to send u one photo and hope do u have a solution for my base construction. 😅
I would like to learn how to glitch frigate pieces on a planet base kinda getting it but end up with base computer instead of like a frigate room or the door ends up just off line ect
@Beeblebum I have learned alot testing it last night stairs seem to be hard to line up still trying to figure that out and still to figure out how to stack them on top of each other
