My Zen Go USB is having many issues using AFX2DAW connected to my Windows 11 PC, I7-12700, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD, the Antelope support is not able to solve it
I toured 15 countries in 18 professional bands, did it all with the ME-50, good amps and good guitars. Recording was maybe a different thing. I even played it right through the board. It is an amazing unit that stands the test of time easily
Hello, I mix and master with MM500's straight out of my mac book pro which seems to drive them easily. I need a comparable pair of closed backs that could also help keep things portable. Great channel btw, any suggestions? Cheers from Vancouver!
ah - you're too kind. yes, I'd say the Neumann NDH-20 - I sue them when I travel, and the new gen Macbook Pros (with built in headphone amp) really pairs well.
Can you put the effects loop send/return in the pedal part of the chain? It says in the owners manual it comes as the last part of the chain, but I dont think any od or anything will sound good after an amp and cab. So it it possible to put it the effects loop before the end of the chain?
Idk if this question will make sense, I’ll try my best to word it properly… There’s two SSL interfaces. One with 2 “midi” or whatever you call them plugins. One with 4. Is there a difference other than that? Like does the more expensive one give way better latency results or no?
the amount of MIDI is the same (IN+OUT) for SSL2+ and SSL12, and no midi for SSL2. I think you are probably referencing to the XLR inputs (MIC preamps, to plug in microphones or DI boxes). More is better, only if you need them. SSL12 has 4 of them. But the 12 also has better headphone amps built in. Hope this helps.
Somehow this song title got mixed up with the Small Faces hit. I was hoping for a good cover. Nope. Better to lose the Small Faces in your video title, otherwise you are just using click bait tactics. Sorry I didn't care for your new track. It was a little reminiscent of a song I can't put my finger on that goes dah dah, dah dah, dah dah, dah dah, dah dah dah. for a hook. It is hard to write an original tune nowadays with 70 years of rock and most everything being a derivative or some other style or hook. The band stills sounds pretty good, nevertheless.
Before you start messing with the color schemes, they put a lot of thought into the color schemes. The blue knobs are always related to EQ, the red is always for dynamics etc. It makes it easier to find the right knob, instead of 12 knobs to sort through, you might have 6 blue ones to look at.
well - I code them according to the plugins I use..in and out - blue - saturation red, compression blue... so I see right away what my colors are, no matter what plugin. I don't use logic plugins anymore - so the whole layout needs to make sense with SSL, Softube, UAD, Plugin Alliance and other plugins... it's not super important, but the more I apply consistent colors for functions, the more it becomes intuitive for me...I will make an updated video soon.
that is how I use it. I use it to test (torn on only when needed), It shows me what the mix needs in terms of width, and EQ - and how it reacts to compression and limiting. it's a really good tool for that, because it forces you to do broad strokes, and not get caught up in "mastering" while the mix isn't even done.
No estoy seguro de cuánto exactamente, pero es más que mis interfaces de audio anteriores y es bastante limpio. Utilizo un micrófono Dynamic EV 320 que necesita mucha ganancia y funcionó bien. (I am not sure how much exactly, but it is more than my previous audio interfaces, and it is pretty clean. I use a Dynamic EV 320 mic that needs a lot of gain, and it worked well.)
Wondering if anyone is using this with a NI S61 type keyboard? It seems there is a duplication of abilities especially if using NI software. Not sure if it makes sense to have both? Especially if you have the keyboard first.
That’s always a good question, and it really depends on your workflow. You’ve got two hands, and they often work differently (at least for me). For instance, I need my jog wheel on my right hand but prefer fine-tuning EQ parameters with my left. My advice is to test it intensively for two weeks with both hands and then evaluate how it feels for you. Make sure you can return it without extra cost, just in case. It usually takes at least two weeks to get truly comfortable and see if you’ll “really” use it. Everything feels cool in the first five days!
They have V8's now and the V10/P10 lineup is stunning - so they do keep improving (and also become more expensive). Ibanez is really good - a confusing line up always for me. So many models, and types, I cannot keep track, but there are so many good basses in there.
@@massivebeatzz Well... I'm probably going to replace the hard drive of my MBP 2015 and wait a couple of months so I can buy an M1 a little cheaper. It's actually a lot of money for the economy of my country.
I have the plugin and had a Knifonium also. The plugin doesn't really do the real Knifonium justice. The real one is insane with the resonance up. It's a good plugin no doubt but real tubes are pretty amazing. I did a video of the Knifonium demonstrating it.
oh, thanks for sharing. I'm typically scared of going high up with teh resonance (ears, lol), but I'll check out your video for sure! EDIT: here's that video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4zf_d8tbhb8.htmlsi=j2gKfLlvw3P3wd6Y - very cool, and at 7:50 that creamyness!
What on Earth are you talking about? It's not even close to Pro Tools. In PT you can select and drag an area on a clip and the nodes are instantly created and you just drag up or down. There is no easier way to level a clip and you never have to chop it up unlike Cubase and Logic. This is just standard clip gain that Logic always had, with a new easier shortcut. This is the most standard clip gain that every DAW has. Even Reason has this. Your title is total clickbait, cause you said new clip gain tool like "pro tools", which it is not. No where near.
Well somewhat near... but not identical. There is one other benefit - when you hover over a session, you can see all clips varying gain levels, if you hit T and then G to activate that shortcut. It's also easier to handle than the clip gain info (screw that, lol). Where it really falls short though, is not having any edit points/notes per clip clip. That needs to get updated asap!
@@massivebeatzz You are misunderstanding. I was too harsh, I know that and apologise for that. However, Pro Tools does something unique with clip gain that only pro tools does - that was until Studio one 6. Now that copied it, but it remains the only other DAW that can do it that way - so when you specifically choose to say logic can now do clip gain like pro tools, that was a total red herring for me (and I got really excited too lol). What Logic can *actually* now do is normal basic clip gain like all other DAWs without needing to go into the inspector anymore, but not like Pro Tools, and If that doesn't make sense, I am not going to keep arguing about it. I mean in PT you can even do relative level adjustment after you've made say 50 changes to the gain line with the tool I mentioned above, it's just sick. (as in good).
@@massivebeatzz One time a went to my local music shop and one of the basses was a “Fredner” I can only assume that the guy who made it was named Fred.
Seeing the UADx plugin on its screen there… I just thought this was mostly for the SSL plugins! How well are the integrations mapped out with the UAD stuff (and others’)?
from the get go - some are mapped out well, others not at all. It's best to map them out yourself . I found that channel strips in general are great to map, and you make use of more buttons and knobs...so SSL emulations from UAD, PA Waves etc work wel l (example SSL C9000J by PA needed nothing, but AMEK200 by PA needed lots of adjustment mappings),Neve, API style stuff that is vertically oriented. But anything is possible to map, so you could certainly map a UAD Manley VoxBox for example.
Plugin Alliance no mapping needed says it all! The best emulation! I do own the UAD essentials pack that includes the Century Tube tho! UAD is more costly, so PA is my go to!
Can I use the onboard DSP for recording or for tracking only? Meaning, can I record the wet signal using the DSP effects? Also, can I set it up so that I hear one set of processing but record another set? for example recording with compression and eq but only listening to reverb?
