+@rosie9199 Thank you for listening. The first song is "To God be the Glory" by Andrae Crouch, (and the 2nd is "Oh the Glory of Your Presence" by Steve Fry.) I arranged this in 1998.
@@MIviolinrecitallive it was an honor to hear. I heard a violinist saying that the song was inspired by one by Bach, I thought it was really interesting, congratulations. Congratulations on the composition, and performance!
+@@danielmpedreira Thank you for your comment. In December 2019, I received the following inquiry from a Brazilian lady about this piece; "Would you mind in telling me a little bit about your history with this composition? I really think that you were directly inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach to compose this masterpiece." I responded to it as follows; " ”Psalm 142” might have been my very first composition for violin. (I had written some worship songs before.) I was in Paris when I wrote the Psalm 142, right after I ministered in a church in London, invited to perform there. As long as I remember, I wrote the melody first. Then I wondered what to do with the accompaniment. As a result, I wrote an accompaniment part with reference to Bach’s sonata. (At that time, I didn't think that I would be able to put piano accompaniment as I don't play the piano.) I hope I answered your question. With best wishes, Mitsuko ITO" So yes, the accompaniment part was inspired by Bach. Thank you very much again for your kindness!
+James Purdie Thank you for listening, and thank you very much for your comment. That's too much of a compliment, but I'm glad that you liked this performance. I think the expression "musical pronunciation" is impressive!
+Charles Thomas Amen! All the glory and honor to God the Creator in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank you for listening, and thank you for your comment. It's very kind of you.
+Peter Holetschek Thank you for your comment, and I greatly appreciate that you introduced me this fantastic violinist that I ashamedly didn't know. I found him playing several videos including "W.Kroll : Banjo and Fiddle", and it's absolutely wonderful ! He is a true great musician with very rich musical idea and also who has a perfect technique to do what he wants. He can entertain and make everyone happy by his performance. Wonderful, isn't it ?
+jose miccoli Thank you for listening, and thank you for your comment. It's very kind of you. This beautiful melody goes well with the tone of the violin. (Next time, I will use a little less vibrato😊.)
@@halo99361 Thank you and I'm glad that you like it. Thank you also for contacting me from my website. (sorry, I can't read Spanish!) To your surprise, I don't have a proper sheet music of this piece, as it is in my head, and as I add some notes every year so today it is very different from what I wrote at the beginning. As it's a complicated matter, I will write to you the detail by email. I appreciate your patience as it might take some time.
@@MIviolinrecitallive Thank you very much. I didn't know how to contact you and I didn't know whether to write in English or Spanish. And don't worry, I understand, but it is a very beautiful arrangement, and I will wait patiently and with much joy for your mail. God bless you and greetings from Mexico.
+ Lucas Rodriguez Thank you for your comment, it's very nice of you. I hope I could play 100% accurately ! (The fact is far from it !!) It's my pleasure if you enjoy this video.
Hi! My previous youtube channel was deleted (because I showed my ID Card in one of my videos as part of an application to various music schools) I just wanted leave a comment again of how touching your playing is, so touching that I cried. I hope you're doing well!
+Tu Madre Thank you for listening, and thank you very much for your comment. It's so kind of you. It's the "melody" which is touching, especially Rachmaninoff's "Vocalise". Almost 5 years have passed since the fire, and I can say that I have completely recovered. Thank you for your concern. I wish you well !
