Both versions are good, though im leaning more towards this version. The guitar in this is SO good. Though i wont lie, i prefer the drum of the old version to this. Either way I love this version to death.
If I had to describe my issue with this arrangement, it'd be Have you ever tried holding a pick axe by the head rather than the handle and then trying to swing it, but it's less effective and doesn't have as much power? This arrangement focuses more on the bass rather than the guitar riffs. This isn't a bad thing per se, but it leaves a lot to be desired and doesn't pack as much punch compared to the original composition.
The "BEH-BEH"ing and deep voiced homosexual confuse me so. More than the "GAPGAP" after the Korean Lady’s sing & dance moment. Moody Teens of Today have a weird idea of Heavenly. 😅
Um... Am I the only one who heard when it looped? Needless to say, DISTURBING THE PEEEACE 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (What the heck is my tarot card god dang it, I got the Moon, then Hierophant, then I decided to go look in a birth tarot care thingy, and apparently I'm Strength and The Star. Man, now I wanna get my Social Link ranked up to 5 by Makoto Yuki 😭)
"Okay, time to put these Strega clowns in their pla-" *Sees Takaya and Jin use Shift back and forth with each other* "Oh, they're not as dumb as I thought they were." "Okay, time to make a mockery of Jin by covering up my party weaknesses" *Jin disregards that by chucking Almighty grenades* "Damn, he came prepared." "Welp, Takaya stands between me and Nyx, time to send him-" *Takaya uses his own version of a Theurgy attack* "WHAT THE HELL ATLUS?! WHO TOLD YOU TO MAKE STREGA AN ACTUAL NUISANCE THIS TIME AROUND?!"
Honestly l they had to do was keep it's trashy nature, make more clean, make the drums a bit more in the background and bring the guitar a bit forward. They removed the drums and a few of the background noises instead of turning them down a bit to let the guitar shine which is why ppl like the old more
You know, My time playing jrps has made extremely unhappy and very tramtized at any sliver hair, somewhat shirtless anime man i run into in a game. Final fantasy 7, persona 3, and xenoblade 2 eat your heart out fr
The more I listen to this, the more it grows on me. It’s not as bombastic or intense as the original, but it feels more… restrained. Not in a bad way, but in the sense of trying to contain a wild animal. I prefer the hardcore nature of the first one, but this one definitely ain’t bad.
I get why people prefer the original, and I prefer most aspects of the original as well, but damn the bass guitar here rocks. It's my favorite aspect of this theme in general.
Minato: Huh, your battle theme got a bit nerfed, didn’t it? Takaya: Perhaps… but I think it’s a worthy sacrifice for having enough HP to actually put up a fight if you aren’t overleveled, don’t you agree, Jin? Jin: Oh yeah! Minato: *raises Evoker as the rest of SEES gathers behind him* Bring it on.
