It's great to see it running at last! However, next time, could you run it at about a quarter of the great velocity you achieved with the 'Mallard'-beating run there! Also, please tell me about the caboose - I built the last such caboose made as a kit by Mr Sheridan and sold by Phil Dipple of Phil's narrow gauge - it also has a full interior, too.

Thanks guys! 👍 Pro job! I've also found that you don't want to pull a stretch into the vinyl as the tension works to loosen the adhesion to the surface.
My boss bought one of these at Train Mountain, because of him I bought one to. We both love our tractors and I love sharing it and letting kids drive it around my live steam club. Would love to see a 2" version of this model
A beautiful looking engine, but the repetitive retopping up of the gas, and the time it takes to get steam up, would irritate me. Although gas is very clean, i think that in this case with this engine, you would be better off with a proper fire box with a grate, and run on Coal beans.. The only problem then of course, is it has no boiler feed pump to keep the boiler supplied, as unlike gas- coal cannot be extinguished quickly and easily if the water level gets low! So im at a loss for an answer!😅
I'd advise checking out part 2, turned out Alex was trying to fill up with an empty can! Once set up correctly it ran for a solid 30-40 minuites on one tank of gas.
Oh dear, poor Alex! I know exactly where he's coming from there, as I do uploads for a group that I run- and make many mistakes during filming, that I was unaware of, until after it was uploaded! 😅😅😅
A truly BEAUTIFUL engine, and my only criticism, is if needs a belly tank, with a boiler feed pump, and a mechanical lubricator.. Other than that, its impossible to say anything negative about this superb work of art!
There is an option for a belly tank with hand pump for this model. If you check out our video running the maroon engine you will see that in place! Definitely makes a difference to the overall look of the engine and a good little top up pump too.

does the model with the belltank option and handpump come with the crankshaft pump fitted? because i want to get one from accucraft in california, im from the us @@MaxitrakMes
Beautiful loco & great sound, thanks for sharing!! Do you know where I might be able to find rail this size? Everything I can find is 1” tall rail, love the look of this smaller stuff.
