You went into a good business for trucking, especially your first, and probably only trucking job will ever want. Our son just started with them. He was with CR England first, and hated it. You may have even trained him because he goes that way also. He is sooo happy now. We never saw him when he worked with CR England.
I live in south FL and currently work for them. I got my CDL A license last year in may and I've had no luck finding trucking jobs. I am wondering if I can work my way up with them? I was told by a coworker that you could go to the terminal front office and ask for that. I'd really like to know because I am stumped tbh.
Health Insurance is huge, have to provide coverage these days. Too big of a deal to drivers to not provide. "you gotta leave, stand up for yourself" - speaks the truth
imagine an update to this video would be a lot different. market has gone crazy these past few years. No one is teaming for .54CPM these days .. but we still have the exact same demand at FedEx ground, even in this downturn

I came across your channel about 14 months ago got my CDL and got hired by a contractor right out of school went good for 8 months and got hired by a other contractor that paid more and the codriver I’ve been driving with until now has to be the most disgusting person I’ve ever meet in my life dude doesn’t shower the entire week we are out there has been many time when the truck smelled worse than a truck stop bathroom in the morning I’ve about had it with team and want to go local in fuel hauling started applying today after I seen ur video I’m praying someone gets back to me
Similar situation for me! I was stuck with a horrible co-driver for almost 8 months. Got the run a round, but it encouraged me find this new job. So I can’t be that mad about it. I’m over otr as well.
Hi, I'm a new subscriber as well as a FedEx Ground delivery driver. Want to go into line haul....well you gave me an honest understanding that it's not just when you work for a Contractor in delivery that you have to be careful who you work for but that also goes for line haul. Love my job! But the hardest part about it is finding the right contractor to work for. Bad business ethics! That's what you find now, more than not. Yes buuuut a lot of sodium which is worse for you than others listed on that nutrition label although it honestly is better than other snacks and of course with ALL foods its best in MODERATION
Every trucking job is 11hrs a day. After taxes and health insurance I make roughly $1600 a week. If I opted out of health insurance it would be $2200 a week.
@@Driving2Thrive 11hrs a day damm ...that's about $30-35 an hour... that seems low for the work a trucker puts in, it's making me reconsider getting my cdl, I actually got it to be a owner/op but lol at that nowadays... I might go get my software engineer title instead...
Does anybody know what brand and model of headset that is? I tried to click in the link and it just says sorry Paige not found I’m getting ready to start my journey on this career and I agree the headset is needed but I don’t want to spend a couple hundred dollars on a headset lol.
