On this channel, you'll mainly find stuff about FISH ! in my big inner pond, with my South American predators in a 2680 us gallon inner pond... But also, and more and more, in the wild (as far as Switzerland can be wild)... and sometimes, you'll find a video or two of my son, discovering this wonderful nature through angling... with me... and that IS the very best thing in my life.
thanks to deepl... I specifically laid 80 spawned Barbus conchonius as live feeders into the tank and they managed to spawn et breed again... into the plants... the other fish are not eaten by the Chana as it keeps going with mussels, shrimps, crickets and grasshoppers... no, my predation problem has much more to do with the Chitala blanci, which, at night, tries regularly to hunt the smaller fish (Danio malabaricus and even Crossocheilus)
Hello! How tall is the water column? I mean how deep is the water? i want to know how tall the vallisneria grows. and is that a pike cichlid or a snakehead? hope you can respond!
the water column is 4 feet tall (125 cm) and the Vallisneria could go longer, but they have just enough light not to die... they don't grow upwards... a plenty of stolons on the side, but they keep small and light green (lack of light)
To this day, they are 6 Crenicichla saxatilis still in the tank + 1 Channa marulioides yellow. The pike cichlids were a compulsive buy for a friend... who finally didn't take the fish home... I'm waiting for someone who can home them properly to get the out of the tank...
Well I don’t like them too much. And I already have quite a few predators : Channa marulioides, Chitala blanci, 4 Mastacembellus erythrotaenia, and I Intend to find a 3 Scleropage group…
Hi, Dear.I saw your RU-vid channel and understand you are a very hardworking youtuber. Very nice video on your channel, I really enjoyed it. According to your channel, I noticed that you have good quality videos but the videos are not getting views and subscribers are not increasing. You need to optimize your channel and do video SEO to reach your target audience. Otherwise, if you upload videos to your channel throughout the year, none of your videos will get viral views. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow.
theres a nutrition problem in this tank. im guessing its coming from the food but mostly from the substrate youre using. the fish may be sifting it too much
Well, as a naturalist, angler and fishhobbyist, I don’t agree with your statement. A river tank is as close as possible as a natural ecosystem. I am never do quiet and open to perceptions as when I am on a river side, especially in my swiss Alps rivers… But I absolutely agree that such a tank is impossible in an appartement or a house… too noisy, too much humidity, too much water… Maybe we could agree on the fact that this is a crazy project and a technical success, even for the Loricaridae inside it. It is an exposition tank in a Shop… meant to present some aquaristik devices
Hey le Dude… plaisir de voir que t’es toujours par là… c’est resté sec et vide presque un an… et puis, j’ai recraqué mon slip… ça grandit et ça pousse gentiment 😅
Despite the similarities between the genera Salmo (Atlantic Salmon and Atlantic Trout) and Oncorhynchus (Pacific Salmon and Trout), these two genera are in the same order (Salmoniformes), the same family (Salmonidae), and subfamily (Salmoninae), however, the genera Salmo and Oncorhynchus are not closely related, Salmo belongs to the tribe Salmonini along with the char (genera Salvelinus and Salvethymus), while Oncorhynchus belongs to the tribe Oncorhynchini, which also includes the lenoks (genus Brachymystax) and taimens (genera Hucho and Parahucho), the similarities between the genera Salmo and Oncorhynchus are due to convergent evolution.
