Our modern life and the transport sector has a big impacted on the environment, especially since the main standard for the transport sector is the very inefficient combustion engine. Transport is necessary, but we must consider alternative. Electrification of the transport is one of the last sector to be electrified. It is a very good alternative, both for its efficiency and no local tail pipe emissions. I am since several years driving electric cars and am now an owner of Tesla Model 3 that is taking up a lot of the content in the channel. From 2015 I was driving the Nissan LEAF for 2 years that gave experience, knowledge, and ides for this channel. Until 16 of November 2018 this channel was named MyNissanElectric and older episodes are referred to this name.

This is what you got at the time in Europe when having the FSD subscription form Tesla in your car. FSD in the US is a complet other thing. Still a car in Europe that has FSD subscription do not have the same functions as in USA.
What do you mean? Is Tesla owners not normal people? The hole point is to educate and point out that the change between going to the gas station or charging is not so dramatic routine life changing procedure as many people that insist of staying with diesel and petrol cars try’s to get the impression of. It is just another way of doing things.
One thing about Tesla - big decisions = big upgrades. And I like your V4 summary. BTW - how will it work with non-Teslas w/charging ports in the wrong place that has to take two spots.... what happens when they are in line with a bunch of Teslas?
Yes, I believe that the all focus now will be on Robotaxi, and Tesla need all focus on that to succeed. Then (super) charging is maybe not so fancy project anymore. Normally Tesla Drivers are very good to educate other drivers how to behave so in that case probably the driver with the charging port on the “wrong” place will get help how to park correct to retch the right charger.
Yes you are right, I have similar experience. Most of the time there is capacity available. But when there is lines, then you hear about it om the news or social media.
I remember driving the Mercedes myself, there were edge cases where oncoming vehicles were blinded, for example if the oncoming car was very far away the matrix wouldn't work and I would be flashed. Or it would react slowly to a car coming around a bend compared doing it manually in advance. Or on a motorway it wouldn't see across the barrier the opposing vehicle headlights , but their face were still illuminated by the matrix lights (trucks especially). I haven't received the Tesla software update yet but wonder in the Model Y are there any edge cases that make you uncomfortable or you have to manually intervene? At the moment in my Model Y autopilot will put on high beams even with overhead street lighting which is illegal where I live
Yes, you are right. This is new to Tesla but we can hope that the technology has improved since your experience of the Mercedes days. Time is early with the model Y and my examples is a short test on one type of road. More time is needed to judge how good the system is. I also agree that it is little bit annoying that high beams is turned on city streets whare there is street lights. That would be an essay thing to detect for the car and not enable it in this cases.
I'm selling my Tesla because of this bullshit I don't need this garbage if it disables my autopilot that I'm paying for $200 per month. This suspension is ridiculous
This is stupid. It is actually harder with the autopilot. Even if you have both hands on the wheel, it still will suspend you because you have to continue to jiggle the steering wheel. It its more annoying that manual steering.
You are right, this is a turn in a wrong direction. Also new update '' high fidelety'' auto park might be slightly better but it's still guessing and no where near the precision from USS sensors.
I receievd my first strike 5 weeks ago and just recieved my 5th strike today, and AP was locked out. Can somwonw tell me, when the week ends and im out of AP jail, will the 5 strikes reset, or will i start getting 1 week jail sentences for each AP violation after this?
Punishments should not affect all of the other drivers of the car; It is important to have the suspension only to the driver who had violated the Autopilot rules. What if someone mistakes his/her profile and makes the car's Autopilot feature disabled with another profile/the original profile set? The profile owner cannot engage Autopilot.
Agreed with your comment. Tesla does not have the right to take away any feature that you have fully paid for. I hope a class action lawsuit will follow soon.
I think I know why the Tesla is charging from the MG without a ground. Can you please check with a multimeter what's the resistance between neutral and ground, on the V2L socket?
Since the update, I have deactivated the lane assistant and am now steering myself again using the adaptive cruise control. The warnings on the display are too distracting and I'm too busy trying to comply with the monitoring rules. This is missing the whole point about the autopilot!
I've skipped this update, so that I will still like my car. I heard rumors that they paused and now have a new fix. Can anyone confirm if they removed the overly aggressive nags?
You took the words right out of my mouth 🤜 btw, good English articulation , slow but easy to understand . Perfect. Now fingers crossed to dismiss "the autopilot suspension". (indeed , a personal option to "uncheck" the autopilot suspension would be great). Keep up the good work and merry Xmas from Belgium.
I did not hear that the actual suspension of a week is mandated regulatory, only that Tesla has to have a better surveillance over the driver that hi/she is paying attention.
It's crap in winter with low sun, going nuts in sunny weather and bright lighted highways....sometimes when it rains it doesn't work in time or too slow. It's really making me very annoyed with this further very nice car and can't use autopilot on many days because of this would drive me mad. My previous cars worked perfect, even when my windshield was covered with dead flies.
Hi, nice drive. What time of day was this taken? Peak or off peak traffic? I'm in the UK so driving on the left is usual and road markings look similar. There was a speed limit sign, is this kph or mph?
It is already confusing for most non Tesla owners, and even I guess some Tesla owners, so can you please not say "Full Self Driving" when it is just autopilot ? BTW, autopilot is for highways and simple roads eg in a traffic jam, using it in other situations can be deadly dangerous, eg it cannot handle any intersection safely, so it is definitely not something to advertise. Not to mention you sometime blame autopilot for not behaving safely while you are using it where you are not supposed to.
I definitely understand the confusion, but the reason is that the full self driving package that cost extra include all the automatic driving features available for a market , in this case Europe. Also all future functions is included that that eventually end up to a full self driving car. All of this will be installed in the car over an software update when it is released. If you buy the car with out the full self driving package the car will have standard auto pilot.
My understanding is that the FSD beta that is available in the US is still not available in Europe. The system works similar as shown in this episode and other episodes that I describe this future. It is an advised driving assistance on roads driving straight.
I picked up my Model Y in the US about a month ago. I have issues with the wipers coming on randomly. It seems to correspond. to lighting changes from dark to light or vice versa. Now, even more odd, in the rain, the wipers are not always coming on automatically....rain is significant enough to impair my vision. I have tried a shutdown/ restart of the system & cleaned the windscreen. I have booked an appointment with mobile service. Hoping they can sort this out!
