The front end's a little cluttered but overall, I like the clean, Volvo-like lines. I've averaged just under 30 MPG over 6,000 miles of mixed driving, in ECON mode, with my AWD example. Impressive given the size and heft of the vehicle. It drives with great composure but lacks the fun factor Honda's used to have. The engine only drones under hard acceleration. The cargo hold is capacious. I wish the radio was easier to use. The wheelbase makes it a little challenging to park.
I'm looking into wanting to buy a Santa Fe one day soon. but I do wish Hyundai offered the 2024 Santa Fe with a 2 row option like the 2021-2023 years. if you're someone who does not need a 3 row SUV.
We are currently trying to decide between touring and elite in this color combo. Thank you for the review. I love that it has the door unlock for the rear seats.
I love your idea about backlighting those trims on the door. A classy bit of bling. It reminds me of the lit kickplates i had in a 12 rogue. I have an 18 exl sandstorm and am waiting on a 23 exl in canyon river blue. The test drive was what sold me in moving to a 23 especially since it has the additional safety sensors and idle feature that I don't think were available when i bought my 18. I do look at the size and location of the screen as a improvement related to safety. I won't have to look down to look at the screen.
😂 Anyone who thinks that the previous CRVs look better than the 2023 need to have both their eyes and heads examined. My CRV is from 2019. If I had a nickel for every time someone told me it looks like a van I’d be rich! Fact is all the previous CRVs look hideous. This new one finally resembles an SUV. The interior looks premium compared to previous models. I’m looking forward to getting into the new model.
GO FOR It... the CR-V Hybrid, if you can actually GET ONE... and then not pay more than MSRP becasue they are in HIGH demand... someone was will to try to give the dealer I bought mine at, 10K more to try to have him sell mine to this guy... they should have called me, I'd have split the 10K 60 40... and wait till April for the next in at the same dealership. I am HAPPILY driving mine around, Urban Grey Peral.... IT"S AWESOME....
Had a Sport Touring come in a few weeks ago that I'd been waiting on. White/Black. Went to see it in person and felt...nothing. I told the dealer that I was sorry but it didn't move the needle for me... It was NICE, really nice....but not $41,000 nice. I knew exactly how much it would cost but after seeing it I just couldn't do it. It's just too much money for a compact SUV. It the days before the current crazy, you'd be buying new vehicles for 10-15% off MSRP....which means you'd be paying $36-36,500 for a Sport Touring. Still expensive as hell but not INSANE. Paying MSRP or above right now is insane unless you have more money than you know what to do with. In that case, go nuts.
This car doesn’t have much pickup, it is a 1.5 Liter 4 cylinder 190 hsp with a CVT transmission, and it shows when trying to gain speed on roads over 40 mph. The SUV’s are heavier cars, and need some additional HSP. Also, no Bose stereo on highest gas EX-L trim (only on the hybrid version), the standard stereo was not anything to get excited about, and the sunroof is small. 41k is too much money for what you’re getting. Mazda offers more with their turbo versions of the CX-5 or CX50, and you get a Bose Stereo.
@@dalbriggss The hybrid powertrains have a 2.0L, not a 1.5L like on the gas-only. I have a '22 Accord Hybrid with the 2.0L but it's the electric motors that provide the propulsion unless you are traveling at higher speeds. I agree that the 1.5L is wee-bit underpowered for any SUV but turbo trickery makes it feel less so. Slapping forced induction on any small displacement engine makes me VERY concerned about the longevity of the engine. I don't believe we'll be seeing Hondas with 300k+on the clock in the future.
@@ThirdBrainLives 40K in the USA is close to 60K in Canada... but maybe you can make up the difference by not buying all the GAS that the Hybrid saves...maybe not, and people look at the initial cost of CARS however they do not realize that if you have the AUTO for 10 years.... 6,000 / year 500 / month and WORRY FREE HONDA...
You forgot to mention that the stick shift has a B so what's the B for Bro? so you said that the other is a GAS version, so then this is a PLUG IN Hybrid?
Hey sorry .. I’m not an expert or anything but B mode is for “braking”. Going up and down hills. Keeps you in lower gears for less wear and tear on the hybrid and motor stuffs.. it is NOT A PLUG IN hybrid.
@@THANERDSHOP Thanks for your response... ya I kinda knew it was not PLUG in, I was testing you... ha ha, I DO happen to OWN one NOW, in Urban Grey Pearl I was LUCKY enough to drop in to a Honda Dealership because they had the COLOUR I was looking for. They looked at my TRUCK, a 2021 Honda Ridgeline White Black Edition and gave me TOP dollar if I wanted to trafe it in... YUPP... I wanted a change and THIS HONDA IS DOPE Squared... It's a totally different driving experience... I put WINTER TIRES and Awesome RIMS for the terrible 7 months of crappy roads here in Calgary, Alberta... I'll post a few PICS and a video or two, soon on my RU-vid page... STEVEQ2.... See you around.. Peace!
For the Hybrid of 2023 there is Sport and Sport Touring trims only. Gas models have EX and EXL. So there are 4 total trims for the 2023 CRV. 2 gas, 2 hybrid.
Hello good time A few days ago, I rented a Hyundai car without a down payment and because I liked Honda, I went to one of the Honda dealerships. I said I want a Honda car. They said to return the Hyundai and give you a car under these conditions, and I did that. I did and lost nearly three thousand dollars and when I came back the Honda dealer said you have to pay ten percent in advance. This was one of the biggest Honda lies and scams I have ever seen. I am now without a car and three thousand dollars loss only and only because of this Honda dealership
Nice review. I one a Honda Trailsport without the HPD package, but I had the wheels powder coated gloss black. I think the HPD package makes the car look unattractive.
I currently have the 2021 EXL model, and I'm fascinated with its capabilities. The 2023 model has been extended lengthwise and so I'm saddened by this. I wish Honda kept the dimensions while redesigning the body. The one I have has an amazing turn radius, amazing road agility (highway or city), and amazing length so that I can parallel park almost anywhere downtown Portland.
