Welcome to the sister channel of Rob Plays That Game! This channel is home to all of my other non-Disney videos!
Just a warning to my younger viewers, while Rob Plays That Game is always going to be a family friendly channel, this channel will sometimes feature content from games that contain mature content. I have a simple rating system in place. If the thumbnail and intro to the video has a green banner, it's family friendly. If the thumbnail and intro to the video has a red banner, it contains mature content!
I didnt like it at first because to me it was just too simple, then i forced mysepf to play and it aint bad, i just dont like that there is barely any strategy, most of it is just bringing hero cards and any other high power cards, strategy vomes after
If the logic is to win two rounds and save your best cards for last why not always just pass/forfeit the first round without playing any cards? This is what I do and can't seem to lose, but is this a dirty tactic? Thanks and God bless ✌️
@@skrillozedd First round play any spy cards you have or weak cards that won't serve a purpose in later rounds, then pass. If you don't have any weak/spy cards to lay down first round but only good cards, pass right away. This isn't 100%, sometimes you get an unlucky hand, but it's very rare that I lose a game like this. 👍
@@skrillozedd Play and beat all the innkeeps and merchants that you can, you'll rack up spy cards. Decoy cards are useful when playing with spies. Also, try to get a couple scorch cards. Innkeep at the Cunny of the Goose is a Gwent player, he plays Scoia'tael deck. He sells a scorch card and also a healer card.
Honestly it's such a relief to read the comments. I'm on my first ever playthrough of Witcher and I ignored Gwent for the longest time and finally realized that learning to play it can help me quite a bit. Haven't enjoyed playing it because I straight up suck at it. So this video definitely helps.
I liked dice poker much more. This game is horrible lol A card game that literally gives you nearly no chance of winning at all. Every single time... No thanks.
300 hours playtime watched the video 10 times and still cant be consistent. I hate this game, clearly not meant for me I guess. I hate card games and boardgames irl too.
I agree on the card game, and actually I used to dislike the witcher 3 as well but once I got more used to it, it's so much fun. Why are you here on a gwent video when you say the base game is horrible is what I'm wondering 😂
@@skrillozedd Recommended. Why can't they make something with these graphics, but without all the silly magic and monsters and degeneracy? There is so much potential, and they waste it with, essentially, a Disney-Porn. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the only good game ever made. Very sad.
@@Flat_Earth_Addy you haven't tried Red Dead Redemption 2 yet? That's one pf the best games ever, great graphics, amazing story telling, and no magic or dragons 😄
@@Flat_Earth_Addy it's not Disney porn, its incredibly violent lol. The Witcher is a book series, turned videogame, turned netflix show. But if you don't like the magic type stuff, you won't like any of it.
@@skrillozedd Every video I saw of it looked like gratuitous violence. Besides that, it looks like American cowboys. I see enough of that on US politics in the news.
Watching this in 2023 is so painful. Thaler was the right choice for the surgeon. You always want to outnumber your rival's hand, that's the easiest way to win PD: Anyway I'm sure you helped a lot of novel players back in the release of the game, so thank you in the name of the community ❤
Man im currently on my 3rd playthrough and i REALLY wanna be good at Gwent this time... but its confusing when u never actually taken the time to learn 😭😭
still fucking hard even when you know how to play. The problem is I think it's DEFINITELY p2w. I haven't bought any cards so even though I'm on the easiest gwent difficulty, it's almost impossible to win any match besides the first person you meet to play it with. Since there's no energy or resource cards, it's basically just fill your deck with the biggest number and the best special abilities. The weather cards add a little strategy, but that especially along with all the other cards still requires a bit of luck getting a decent additional draw; unless of course you have a maxed out end game deck. Neat idea for what it is though. This was definitely a better tutorial than the game gives you.
