Yep, you are correct on chargers don't have the cranking amps to run these as motors briefly. Since I don't have a 6v battery yet I looked it up and can run it for a few seconds using a 12v battery. It works and spins clockwise👍
Tried it but doesn't move with my 6v charger but when I ran it with my drill motor and volt meter it works 2500 rpm 7.5 volts so for a 6v generator we're good. Not sure why it won't spin as a motor? Oh well not important anyway. It charges 👍
Someone donated the same AC to me so I followed your video. It was easier taking off the front then the rear (just came apart easier). After pulling it apart, the dust was like a thick shag carpet on the interior. It took the better part of an hour to vacuum all that out thoroughly. Thank you for a great video, it was a real help!
Shouldn't this thing hit like 35 VDC output ? 8 V seemed to be the max here. Yea, I have the red light on and that's It' time to fix it, even it means pulling the engine from the bus and converting to an alternator.... we are not stopping until it's over.
What is the point in changing the pic lettering? Ive seen pic12F508, 12F508A, 12C508, 12C508A Confusing. So these microcontrollers act differently? Also where to find the original electronic parts used on the madlabs junior theremin?
This is great information. One point to consider is that a generator will put out varying amounts of voltage depending on the speed. So, your drill will probably need to be producing something like 1200 - 1500 RPM before you will see the 14V output you are looking for. That range is a bit of a guess. It may need to be closer to 2K or more.
@@sharkythegw7843 so when u load a video in a row go to the far left and and that box there just click in there and a lock should pop up. That indicates u can’t mess with that row until u unlock again
I have VSDC in spanish. To fix it I selected the Video one. Then in properties window, I changed block duration to "No", then I selected the second video, and changed block duration to "No". That fixed it.
I’ve just purchased and built my 2nd one and have issues again. Everything seems to work almost but I get no square wave test pattern and I get no trace line. It seems to be locked in across the top of the screen. Any ideas why? I’m quite sure I installed all components correctly I’ll check again today. Wish they used better quality hardware but that’s just what you pay for. It’s not a clone but maybe the main chip is. FRUSTRATING but I’ll keep troubleshooting 👍 Artie
Hey Kenn, is the air vent piece supposed to get really hot ? The white air pump that attaches to the outside gets quite hot , not sure if that is causing any issues ?
Yes the exhaust vent gets hot because all the heat from the compressor and back coil unit exit at this point. My unit gets to 114F degrees (45.55C) at the exhaust port on the back of the machine. Window units have the back half hanging outside so you don't feel the heat coming off them. With portable units the whole AC unit is inside so the heat has to be piped to the outside.
Are you using a weight on the piezo? I ask because at the moment I'm using a 2oz fishing weight. I'm wondering if what you are using on the piezo would work better?
I have a good idea for you if you want to empty your water bucket you could drill a hole in the bottom the size of maybe a small hose and get some fittings and Route the hose outside so the water drains and it never gets to the level to where you have to empty it it'll just keep on going thanks for your video that gave me a great idea
It actually has a continuous drain hose in there! Just gotta remove the plug in it and route it under the bucket. Im gonna go get a longer hose for mine later!
On my unit the P1 error is when the draw on the side is not fully pushed in or full of water. If the unit is not cooling as well I would remove the covers to see if there is lint build up on the cooling fins. If you have a large build up of lint covering the fins it will stop air from flowing through the unit and the unit will over heat. If the unit is clean with no lint and not cooling I would have professional check the refrigerant levels in the unit.
@@kennswhatchamacallit9376 thanks Kenn. My unit is connected to outside of my home also so I can have the water go out that way. Could that be a factor as well? It seems the water isn’t exiting that way, but instead building up in the draw and I have to keep emptying the draw
@@matthewhennessy257 I would disconnect the hose and put it into a pan to test whether it's draining through the hose or not. If you let the machine sit to long a spider could build it's nest inside the hose causing a clog, so you need to check for that. I would also test the drain pipe going to the outside of your home. Mud wasps around here like to build there nests in pipes so check yours as it might be clogged. Also if your drain pipe is to narrow you might have to vent it like the way a kitchen or bathroom sink is vented other wise you might be building up a vacuum in the line. Try these things and see if it helps.
Hi yes, in the video at time stamp 3:08 I try to explain if the bottom of the drawer is dirty it needs to be cleaned off. You can us soap and warm water to clean off any build up on the bottom of the drawer and the shelf that it sits on. Then I use Johnson's Past Wax on the bottom of the drawer and the shelf to make everything slide better. The tube does not go inside the pull out drawer it sits on the side and is only used if you have a external drain source. You can see in my video were the tube sits. There is a micro switch that is above the drawer and works off the black plastic float lever that is inside and on the top of the drawer. If the float lever does not move freely then you will have problems. If the micro switch goes bad you will have problems. I would check and make sure these 2 area's are working ok.
Wow... Thank you so much for this video! I'd searched a year ago and didn't see anything on this AC unit. I will definitely give the unit a good lint scrub down.
You're welcome, I just picked up this portable AC unit but found very few video's on it as well. After figuring out how to take it apart without breaking it I decided to make a video on it to help other people.
, i got issue. Video uploading in common sitting but can’t insert in editing area. Where is the issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled but issue remains same, need help
Sorry I'm just a novice at this VSDC editor it was the reason I made the video to show VSDC Support Team my problem. I also found that VSDC only does certain things in the free version. Since this video upload, Micro Soft did a update to my Windows 7 OS causing it to say it wasn't Genuine. I tried many things to fix my Windows 7 OS but it wouldn't accept anything, so I moved to Linux Zorin 16 OS. Unfortunately VSDC video editor does not work on Linux, so I went with Kdenlive and Blender.
Yes it is a device that can be used in Paranormal (ghost) investigation to indicate footsteps across a wooden floor. The first one I saw used was in a Ghost Hunter TV show episode .
Good video. Mine was working, but I may have damaged something during casing. Once it goes off in default mode it won't stop! 555 timer? I did get hot glue near it. It self tests and changes modes just fine.
All you do is put the positive wire to the switch and from the switch to were the positive wire solders on to the board. It just cuts the power between the battery and the board.
Thanks for sharing!! I just tested an old generator that gas been standing for a long time.. I also used a drill but it only put out 0,8 V… Did not know I have to polarize it like that!!! 🙏🏻
Please watch my Building a Rem Pod 2 video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8xXfGaONoOI.html I try to explain about the 12F508 chip in that video and how to program it.
