Loop compliments OneNote. It is not a replacement. Being able to add loop components that are collaborative into OneNote pages with the ability to have private notifications is great.
Thanks, you made me 🤬😵💫🥴🤕outlook and its creators a tiny less, at least just for today - great simple explanation, nothing like the go rRRrround and AaaahhrrrRrround MS help. By the way, I just tried it and if you copy and paste an already formatted text - You keep the format, even links (sharepoint folder link) in the template. Before looking into 'templates' in outlook, I was using different signatures to quickly enter the same legend over and over again. Thanks again ♥♥♥, You Are Awesome!
I love your content ❤. If you were in charge of managing the installation of security patches on servers for several clients and you needed: an online status of what was installed and generating reports via Power BI. What would you use: MS Planner or Lists? Would you use another Microsoft 365 tool? Thanks.
Hello. Very nice video. quesiton: If the source list is in another MS teams, is there any way to link? I am trying to reproduce your steps, however since my lists are in different Teams, I am not seeing them available on during the vlookup column creation. Thanks in advance.
Great thanks - learned some new things today! Didn't know you could search on hashtags. Also, it seems that 'due date' determines when it appears in your Today list. Of course, if a big piece of work is due on Friday, you'd want to start sooner than Friday. How would you handle that? Break the tasks down into smaller chunks - each with their own 'due date'? Do reminders impact whether it appears in your Today list?
Happy that it helped! The hashtags search is a great feature. The option is yours, the smaller chunk independent tasks with their own due date works. The downside is that they won't be associated with the other task. Another option would be to use the checklist in the task and then add the task to 'My Day' on the days that you want to work on it. The downside of this is that they won't be 'planned.'
Right from the beginning it goes off track. I hit the + sign, select 'create teams' and I don't get a drop down menu of templates. I have the newest version of Microsoft 365. It's crap, all crap
There are a few small changes that MS has made here. When you click the + icon, there will be a sentence at the top with a hyperlink, You're creating a team from scratch. More create team options. If you select 'more create team options,' then you are brought to the templates area. I hope that this helps!
Thanks Amy; what I'm still not getting and no one explains this, maybe because its not possible, is how to manage Plans (plural). Your video is great if you just have one project/plan happening at a time, but in my case of project management I may have 30+ projects (all different clients) happening concurrently, and "Mike" may be assigned as a resource to multiple tasks across multiple projects/plans. Is there a way to make the plans collaborative so if "Mike" is assign to a task on *monday that it somehow flags this so he cant be assign to a task in another plan on *monday? I know, I'm asking alot, I talking more scheduling and Planner is a Gantt chart, they the two apps go hand in hand. Not sure if there is integration with Calendar to accomplish this. Then to take it another step further, add this all into Teams where there could be a Team/project level schedule and Gantt chart, and a Project Management Team that can see a high level view of the schedule that incorporates all Project Teams and Gantt charts combined? Good example is I have my boss asking me: where is "Mike" today, what is "Mike" working on... With over 50 technicians and 30+ projects happening at once, this is very hard to figure out on the fly. I have to either open up every individual Team and check the calendar to see if "Mike" is on it for the day, or I have to manually create a 2nd calendar/gantt chart and incorporates everything doubling my work load.
When you assign a task from the meeting agenda how do you see all the tasks from previous meetings? Meaning, is there a view to see all the tasks that you have assigned to see what outstanding. Or do you have to go back to each meeting notice to see what is outstanding? Is there a way to make the integrated meeting note’s action items go to the same loop component?
As part of Office 365, you probably also have to agree that Microsoft scans all the data that you put in Loop as specified in the EULA. For most businesses in Europe this results in confidentiality issues, and they would have to disclose this "sharing" with their clients.
Thank you for sharing, I have found an article that may be helpful on this. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/loop/loop-compliance-summary?view=o365-worldwide
trying to track all the employee education and certification. I do have MS form that employees fill out and have it integrate it to MS list via power automate. Then, i use PowerBI to visualize the data that response is automatically extracted in excel file. Is it possible to replace it to MS Planner? any pros and cons about planner?
I would say that your process here is good. This would be my suggestion, or if you wanted to eliminate forms and power automate then you could use the new form feature in List directly (I've heard more improvements coming this fall too as there are currently some limitations). You would still have to visualize in Power Bi My original video is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TMk9bhqlNFk.html I generally think data = lists and tasks = planner. With Planner you'd have to export your content to an Excel file and visualize there which may create unnecessary steps. I hope that this helps!
It is on this page here, but the wording is interesting "The only capabilities that may be lost" support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/loop-access-via-microsoft-365-subscriptions-92915461-4b14-49a4-9cd4-d1c259292afa This grace period will end on December 31, 2024, at which point all users will have access to Loop app features based on their Microsoft 365 plan. As described above, all users will still be able to access their existing pages and workspaces, view components from other apps, and more. The only capabilities that may be lost after the grace period are creating new workspaces, adding members to workspaces, and removing members from workspaces.
Your training videos are better than the recent Loop training I did direct with Microsoft. I now send links to your videos to people in my organization. Thank you!
One tip: I recently learned about the word “tabulate”. Much shorter than “make a table from” or “put the following in a table”. Also cool is that is no real word for it in Dutch, so I use the English word Tabulate directly in a Dutch prompt. Great tips - love it ❤
Thank you for the video Amy! I run multiple public works departments at a municipality. Last year I implemented an ticketing system using MS Forms and it has helped us tremendously in budgeting, streamlining communication, and it provides us organized data to show our impact to the public. I was hoping that this built in listforms would allow external users to put in tickets for us to assign to my department supervisors. Seems like such a trip at the finish line for MS. You would think that a company that made a public polling program would put a little more effort into business analytics right? Looks like it will have to be done the old way with power automate for now. Hopefully this will be fixed soon! *fingerscrossed!*
Hi Amy do you ever work with people on a one on one basis? I have a few colleagues that have been watching your videos and would love to have a one on one Q&A session with you! Please let me know
Thank you for the comment, the recurring task feature is not available in Premium Plans but it is available in the Basic Plan templates. On a comparison of these two apps that I found, this feature is unfortunately, not marked as 'coming soon,' but if you would like to see it then I would recommend sending feedback. You are not the only one, so the more feedback that they get on this feature the better!
Thank you for the question, users on your team will need a paid license to access premium plans. Basic plans are included in the business 365 licenses.
Team members can be assigned tasks in Premium Plans even if they have a basic license. They are able to view these tasks and mark them as complete, but they will have limited access to features.
