Thank you, Asley for your direction on this awesome contraption! I just got my own little place and thus my 1st mini kitchen, so room is of the essence 🥚 🐣! You didn’t go super fast, I'm making a little omelette to start my day. Cheers from San Diego ✌🏻
They are both high quality. I do prefer Le Crueset because it has a light-colored interior which I feel makes it easier to see what you are cooking. Some people like the dark interior of the Staub because you don't see any scratches or wear over time. I am able to keep my Le Creuset very clean looking but I do work hard to make it pristine after each use. I hope this is helpful, thanks for watching 😃
@@ashleyisinthekitchen8945 thanks for the quick reply, very helpful! I too really like Le Cruset for the light interior and agree it’s much easier to see what’s going on in the pot when cooking! I am planning to upgrade to the 7.25 and was debating between LC or Staub (apparently the studded lids help to make foods more moist). But I think my heart is leaning more LC ♥️ thanks! How do you keep yours pristine? I’ve tried BKF and steel wool which seems to work but the overall color has changed (yellowed?) a bit over time.
I use Le Creuset cast iron cleaner, my bottle has lasted me 3 years. It's not as abrasive as Bar Keepers Friend so it won't damage the enamel coating on the pan. Steel wool, in my humble opinion, is too abrasive and would cause serious damage to the enamel. That said, my go to cleaner for all dishes is Dawn power wash. It is a spray and WOW- it's good. I have tried the Staub for the moisture retention feature from the lid and I don't notice a difference compare to Le Creuset. I hope this helps- happy cooking 💗🤗
I am a widow now I got the 5.5 qt. I just cook for me and I want to make homemade bread in it. With all the inflation I will make my own bread now. One place I can save right now. Any other ideas for healthy ideas for meals for me only 1 thank You. I don’t mind leftovers 😊
Request your help: I’m stuck between the 7.25qt and 9qt dutch oven. I already have a 9qt braiser, but when I went to the mall to see the 9qt dutch oven, it felt huge. Should I go for the 7.25qt or 9qt oven? I mainly cook chicken soup and stews for myself in batches. Thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks for this video. I am contemplating getting this size, but the size 8.1 Liter seems more beneficial for larger batches when cooking for extended family and friends. I am torn because the larger one only comes in orange or red.
I have a 9-quart and it is fantastic to use with its 12-inch cooking surface. I've made a lot of stuff with it as a single cook. I've never had a problem with awkward items fitting in like ham bones or making double batches. However, that bad boy is heavy and I must carefully wash it. WS has a 7-quart in beautiful Azure I'm eyeing.
Articulate, knowledgeable, clear, concise, great attention to detail, excellent presentation skills, professional and straight to the point. Plus your kitchen is spotless. I'm very impressed. I just subscribed.
The amount of water is the timer. When the water is gone, the cooking is done. The amount of water doesn't really matter for the cooking, it how long it lats that matters. The measurements they give you are based on them testing it. you can always adjust the amount of water to what works for you. It works the exact same way as similar products from other brands.
i came here from your review of the le creuset dutch oven. im in the market to buy one and your video was so helpful. it was informative and concise :) and you suggested this video and i really enjoyed it too! its spring now so im not sure about making the stew anytime soon, but now i have a good recipe to look back on! i wish you more succuess on your channel :) your videos are well made.
Hi Teresa, Le Creuset's website states that they are oven safe up to 500 degrees. Let me know if you make bread in it. I haven't tried that yet and it sounds delicious 😋 Happy cooking 💜
I bought a Martha Stewart 7 quart at Sams Club on closeout for $22. I made stout beef in it and it was delicious. It would be hard to justify $300 for a similar pot, french or not. I was surprised how easy it was to clean after cooking it cleaned up like brand new.
Thank you Douglas 😃 For the ice bath I just put ice in a bowl and add cold water. There are no measurements, just enough ice so the water stays cold after you put the eggs in. Does this answer your question?
Ashley your video was great. You are a nice lady. I just purchased this for my wife for Christmas. I hope it works as well as outlined in your great video. Take care. Peter
Doesn’t it matter what Dutch oven u use according to what type of knob is on the lid? Example black knob vs stainless steel knob. I would think one cannot use the pot with the lid with the black knob. Please educate us. Thank u
The black knows are oven safe up to 500 d we degrees Fahrenheit 😃. It is called the phenolic knob and iis made out of a durable heat resistant resin. Happy cooking 😁
