This is fresh Spruce that we are chopping here, it’s softwood so low density, it was cut approx 6 weeks ago so this is ideal timber for the machine. It’s can chop hardwood also but only up to 4 or 5 inches due to the higher density.
I've hear about this Chinese balers they break the shear bolts on every lump of hay, and the main chain is skipping a roller at that time. That the left and the right side are not properly aligned ending in the bearings of the rollers to desintegrate, not before causing the hay guard to interfere with the pickup that leads to the destruction the teeths, and the chain gears to misalign causing the chain to jump off. Some other minor issues... that the twine is not pulled in at the start of the wrap, that can be really a problem even with the natural fiber twine sample they are delivered. Also that hidraulic pump is failing to function in the heat, the twine roller get smooth pretty fast and the tread is sliding on it. That the worm mechanism that drives the twine arm fails unexpectedly, and even that the main gear goes bust quite easily, not the mention the chains that are wearing out fast.
I will never understand why you would want a mini round bale. I understand large round bales, labor it takes to load and move so many square bales or lack of the necessary help for square bales. But these require as much labor as square bales and you can't stack them, crazy makes no sense.
Yes 100% the standard round baler makes much more sense on a commercial scale, these aren’t aimed at that market. These mini round balers are for people with small areas who are only making a few acres of hay/haylage. They have a few advantages over a square baler….they are approx 1/4 the price of a new square baler because they are a simpler machine no knotters etc, they can be ran on as little as 20hp so can be used on a very small/light tractor and get into places that even a square baler can’t access. And the bales are light enough to load/stack by hand so no loader required. But definitely just aimed at the people making a few acres per year!
What’s a unit like this worth? Been contemplating a wood chipper then came across these which are much better could use it to burn the entire damn tree just shovel the chunks in
do the rotating shafts (knives attached to) have bearings or bushings? I can't find any points to grease on my new RP200. No manual and zero help from US salesman. Thanks
Hi, if you send an email to sales@clontrac.ie I’ll reply with a pdf manual for you. There should be two grease nipples on the bottom shaft of the new type RP200, the other bearings are sealed so require no greasing. You will need to paste some grease onto the gears once a day also. This is all that is required. Thomas
I can not begin to tell you how much less waste there is by having one of these machines. I am old and too lazy to feed mine "By Hand" so I feed it with my CAT 305.5 excavator. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D-7sAxGvjYI.html
