Generally hate long intros, but not this one, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Not only that, it establishes your credentials as professional sound guys right off the bat.
Hello. Excellent information. Do I need to buy the receiver separately? The blx24 price is $349 for the whole system vs just the plug-on $349... Am I missing something here or doesn't makes sense to buy it? I have an sm58 that I would like to convert to wireless but according to my understanding it is going to be more expensive than buying a full new system. Thank you in advance
Who makes / sells the braided cables with color coded right angle XLR connectors located at 06:05 in the video? I tried submitting a contact request on the Trew website but it froze up so I can't tell if it submitted or not. ~Thanks!
Absolutely love my 4060 !!! As a voice over artist with loads great microphones from u87s to royer tubes and neve, ssl pre amps etc, i was super happy to hear the quality of what can be captured with such a tiny mic. I was set on choosing the 6060 but something drew me to the 4060. Superb.
If you want to go with a Sony wireless system, then get the Sony DWR-S03D (and the appropriate transmitters for it. I use them, they're awesome!), as that is compatible with the Superslot accessories.
@@SoundSpeeding Hi, thanks for the info, but I was looking at the URX-S03D because it's compatible with UWP-D Transmitters, which I already invested a lot in.
@@RandomRichard2022 ah I see, the UWP-D is good stuff! I started out with them, but these days I have dozens of channels of Lectrosonics Digital Hybrids, which lately I've been upgrading to Sony DWX. (especially my boom wireless) Sony only very recently brought out their first ever Superslot receiver (the DWR-S03D), so maybe there is hope they will bring out another? For the UWP-D series? But I'm doubtful, there has never been a Prosumer grade wireless that does Superslot. But if there is... I think either Sony or Deity will be the first!
Curious why are the 2 different slates shown on screen with Charlie Parra continuing to fall in and out of sync by over 10 frames? Just start and stop at any time and sometimes rarely are the 2 slates in sync, bad older crystals?
1. Multi-pattern mics already exist, so this concept is not a "world's first" see the Lewitt LCT640TS multi-pattern mic. 2. Why not a *Neutrik EtherCon* connector on the mic? that's basically necessity not yanking the cable out and disconnecting it. 3. ok wow, the MEMS elements sound pretty good... I'm not hearing any coloration in the sound so good job guys. Looking forward to revision #2
what would you recommend for just a single wireless comm that has a base station that can connect to a wired system? I am a wireless cam op that wants to add a wireless comm to my kit.
There is a faster way. 1) Scan ATSC carriers to find cleanest channel. Based on this information do a second scan of that specific channel. 2) After second scan select Set To All 3) All four receivers will instantly be set to clean frequencies with MCR appropriate Mhz spacing 4) IR Sync your TX. Profit!
