Love how genuine you are, both in your general expressiveness and your willingness to share details of your life such as your partygoing past or starting salary. The editing at the end was also hilarious, really shows humility to make fun of yourself like that. People like you are very well-suited for content creation, knowing how to balance information and entertainment quite seamlessly.
GIRLLLLLLLL you said it grades don't matter (unless you heavily rely on those academic scholarships) BUT your portfolio matters and time is the only way you're going to succeed.... and sometimes......you just wish you could freez cause 24 hours in a day just wasn't enough.... I will also never forget my professor tearing at one of my study models after working on it all night........ the trauma.
It totally gave me the mindset at of "done is better than perfect" because I am SUCH a perfectionist. But the reality was that there really just was not enough hours in the day sometimes lol
I go to UNT Dallas and was enrolled as a Sociology Major and Psychology Minor; I realized this semester that I DO NOT WANT TO BE A SOCIAL WORKER! I like to help people and talk to them, but that comes from a desire to SOLVE PROBLEMS! I was thinking about which degree do I want to switch to, and I took it back to my childhood. . What did I always do when I was younger? Build legos, paint, draw, make bows and arrows, play computer games such as Age Of Empires and THE SIMS! I just realized, no, I just got confirmation that I need to be an INTERIOR DESIGNER! I always was extremely fascinated with architecture and designing! THANK YOU FOR BRINGING UP THE SIMS! I swear that was all I needed to hear! Interior Design, here I come🤲🏾 Also, I wish you all unlimited success and happiness🤲🏾
Algorithm recommended this to me and tbh it kinda applies to me too, this whole expectation of being perfect and polished and that if it isnt benefitting anyone its worthless 😭 like it is EXTREMELY easy to be so unbelieveably hard on myself and tell myself im not good enough when its really not the truth at all. And I am also guilty of binge watching RPDR 😭
Hey girl, Glad you are back! I enjoyed watching your videos, especially the ones pertaining to interior design because I aspire to become an interior designer one day. I really like your sense of humor and your experience in the interior design field. Keep having fun!
I just came across your channel and I stay 15-20 minutes from Honesdale every summer for a week with my family!! It is one of our favorite little towns;) My jaw dropped when I found out what building it was because my partner and I ate there this past summer!!! We had not been there the previous year so we had no idea that was in the works… Great place 10/10
first time watcher.... can u make a better title did not know what i was walking into. . . But anyways u speak well and ur entertaining so did subscribe. I always thought youtubing looked fun too lol <3
thank you so much for this video! I just graduated college with a bachelors degree in criminal justice but I never had time to do internships while in college because I was a full-time student and also worked full-time. Once I graduated and started making time to build experience, I realized Forensics isn’t for me. However, I discovered interior design through my interests and have a deep passion for it. I’m only 23 so I know I’m so young but I’m in between going back to school to an accredited four year interior design university or doing an interior design program at a community college in my city.
I have a BA of art in graphic design, however, i'm thinking of getting a masters in interior design and working at a commercial design firm. but i'm thinking of getting a masters in the UK and transfer it back to the US, is that a good idea? i just don't have the time to go to school in the states for 3 years. thank you!!!
I am so glad I stumbled across your account! I am studying interior architecture in Pittsburgh and I’m a rising senior so I’ve been applying to internships and doing cold calls like crazy :,). I am also going to Spain this summer for my internship so that was so awesome to hear you went there as well. The masters program at my college just got cut so that sucked. You’re very inspirational and helpful I will definitely keep up with your content!🩷
This was great and very helpful. I’m looking into going to school and wasn’t sure what i want to study until now. Thanks to you and the video I watched from Sandy Saintulis things are a lot more clear for me. I’m excited to get started.
So, I've always loved architecture and interior design. At least, for the past 5 years I've been really drawn to it. And this is bc of my love for all things luxury: luxury homes especially. I watch this channel called LPG (Lifestyle Productions Group) on YT almost everyday and have been considering real estate as a career, only bc I mainly love homes and what they look like. I also have an interest in a miniaturist hobby! Anyway, I just turned 31 and am wondering if going back to school for interior design is too late? I did go to college after high school, but dropped out bc I was undecided on a career path. Now I almost feel like this is my calling...but am I too old for it? 🤔
Well first off, you’re never too old to start school or a new career! 31 is so young. BUT interior design school is both a time and financial commitment. So make sure this is a job you would love doing day to day (construction drawings, selecting finished, working in a collaborative office environment). I’d also look at your long and short term financial goals. It takes time the traditional route of working at an architectural firm to progress into a higher paying role, so if school would be a big financial commitment, maybe give it more thought to be sure its worth it!
Honestly...I liiiiiive. You have such a fun personality. You got a subscribe from me (hopefully, a future dual architecture/interior design student) with no hesitation!
Are there related fields or alternative paths? I am 45 with an accounting degree and a side hustle in event planning... Im too old to go through 10 years of school and an internship to just be a beginner at 55 lol
we got it beautiful cutie, you have a masters degree)))), seriously that is a really motivating video! Hope they pay you much more right now and you doggy is fine!!
I've never seen anyone so full of it before. I clicked on the vidoe expecting to receive vaild information on interior designing, only to end up hearing you brag about yourself for 24 mins.
by witching this video you literally SOLVED MY LIFE ! I am a teenager and everyone's asking me what I want to be and I am soo confused I couldn't find anything I like I have also always been into arts and creativity and all and now I feel like I FAINALLY found something which I might do in my career! And I just want to say that THANK YOU SO MUCH for this and I love you're energy!!! from now from today I will begin my journey in interior designing (no idea how i am gonna do that but i guess look for universities) and when I sucseed in my career it will all be because of you!!! you are amazing !!
