Naming and grouping them helps! For example, with this piece I had separate folders to contain layers for the background, the house, flowers, and my adjustments. :)

i know this sounds silly but i almost burst into tears when i saw your duck sharpener, my grandma had the exact!! same one and i always played with it as a kid, and i got it tattooed on my arm when she passed away. i kept the sharpener but his beak snapped off and the actual sharpener came loose and got lost. anyways, seeing yours just gave me the biggest wave of nostalgia 🥹
