Getting them to deeper water. I take a little more care of fish then I used to but overall always been pretty solid about it. I hate seeing a bass, native trout or something like that die more than the next guy. I’ve even slowed down fishing certain baits more likely to gut hook fish. Bass are pretty hardy they survive a toss

She can’t tell you to leave CA coastal act says property owners can’t prevent water access of navigable water ways. There are spots in SD where the access literally goes right thru the outside dining area of some of the resorts. You handled it respectfully but next time you don’t have to leave. I am always respectful and clean if they get rude I tell them call the game warden he can explain the law to them
Ned rig with a berkley minnow but I’m not sure what was going on there. I was walking away to leave saw what was going on and casted at it. Every cast I would get short bit multiple times so I started setting the hook right away but they were getting foul hooked. I thought the first 2 had swiped at it and missed but after the third one I stopped cuz it’s pretty whack to foul hook fish. My guess is they were swiping and missing or there were hundreds of them out there I was bumping into left and right. Water was brown no visibility at all so I have no idea what happened. I’ve been asked about this a few times anyone that reads this what do you think happened?

Cool, would be interested to see how it goes. Have kayak fished Newport bay a couple times and caught some spotties but never really got on em like you do
@@CrazedGwonam97 yesterday we went out and got about 20 spotties between me and my buddy. All fish caught on the drop shot, a rig and underspin. Fish the grass flats and you’ll find them

@@FishinRob it’s a blast out on the kayak you will love it. Bleeding the fish will probably make them taste better… I don’t really like the taste of fish that’s why I don’t keep, I’ve acquired a small taste but mainly for salmon or pink meat
