I'm "Piano Man" Steve Lungrin, singer songwriter, piano player & teacher, entertainer, joy seeker and hopefully an uplifter. My channel is about two things, and two things only.....helping people learn to make music on the piano and sharing the music I love to make while playing piano and singing. I hope you enjoy my videos, and I'd love to have you learn more about me at pianomansteve.com and my online piano course at PianoManApproach.com. Thanks, and have a blessed day!
Awesome performance! You got a good voice but you should get like a tc helicon voiceplay live to augment it some to what it singing. I have one and it works great!
Hi Chris, met you at West valley occupational center close to 40 years ago, you played your guitar on the hood of your car,, I didn't know it but I was looking at a superstar in the making
Steve, would really appreciate a tutorial on Billy Joel’s short song souvenir. One of his best pieces and love your in depth tutorials. Keep it up and thank you.
Steve...what can I say that others have already said and expressed...you are a great instructor, great player, great voice and very easy to understand. I play multiple instruments and I learn something new on my piano journey every time I watch your videos! Please keep them coming!!
Thank you for explaining this time signature to me. Just a little backstory 68 year old grandmother who decided to try to learn piano during Covid and found out that my now seven-year-old grandson has perfect pitch and is gifted musically so he’s way ahead of me at any rate, his piano teacher that my daughter-in-law pays for lessons (assignments that I have to teach him), He can read notes but once he knows the song he plays from memory or the patterns he’s deciphered. but can learn them he listens to music and then he can play it. I can’t tell my daughter in law anything. Should I just keep with her program of theory. Btw. My grandson loves and understands the Circle of Fifths and 7ths and 9ths and very into video games sings cause he hears them all the time. Thanks for listening. Appreciate any advice.
And may I ask which must be the music knowledge under this whole thing (counting time practicing to), to make the best simplifications to play a song you love, but you are not yet good enough to do it?
Steve: It really helps when you include about eight songs like you did on this. It reveals to us music that maybe we were not familiar with and quickly builds a repertoire.
It takes mad talent and simultaneous action to do a cover like this, I know it’s hard to try and get on Russel Hitchcocks pitch level especially with a natural low tone but the fact that you played the piano plus vocally singing makes it a great cover 👍😎
For those who want a more, complete in depth lesson on Pinky Anchoring, its is in Steve's "Chord Based Hacks Course" Lesson #5. Thanks to George S. who mentioned that fact to me! The lesson was excellent!
