Looks really good. Triple AAA 3d platformers are so rare and there is a customer base starving for the genre. I don't care if it is better or worse than mario, we just need more of them. I especially wish there was a more kiazo (hard) 3d platformer that is made by a Triple A studio, there is literally zero games in that market.
No. Astro's games are good but Mario has generations worth of classics, not mention thousands of merchandise and recognizable characters. Astro's main focus is on mostly Sony's past and showcasing how the controller works.
I completely agree bud, I absolutely adore Mario and he is my childhood, my favourite gaming character with generations of different games and unlike Astro who only has a few. Everyone knows who Mario is but not everyone will know who Astro is. I do really enjoy the Astro titles they are always so fun and an absolute delight to play, the only thing I prefer with Astro is the functionality of the controller and haptics that some what immerses you in his games a bout better because of those surprises and functions he controller gives you with its feedback within different parts of the game what I would absolutely love to see in Mario titles more often instead of just motion control bits. I’d love to see them utilise the HD Rumble properly that showcases in Mario’s games what it’s really capable of. Or whatever is potentially with the Switch 2
I agree with you completely but what is better is the way I think PlayStation manages to immerse you into these worlds with Astro with the different functionality and features of the controller that always surprises you with it’s feedback and haptics in levels and area’s that I would absolutely love to see Nintendo implement more, with other big Nintendo cameos it’s always a surprise and delight feeling the different ways the haptics is being used with Astro. I’d absolutely love that with Mario instead of just the use of motion controls
@ElYeso I think Astro is much more then mediocre, he can be a perfect mascot for Sony if it’s done right. Plus going off the other games of Astro I think he is a really great character. Astro is definitely no Mario but he has the potential to be great competition for Mario if utilized right
As a lover of both playstation and Nintendo growing up through my life. i always wanted Playstation to give our boy Astro a full fledge chance of having his own game for so many years instead of the playstations tech demos. I was so happy to see when Astros first platformer got revealed with pure joy. I sure hope it sells well since I love Astro as much as i do Mario equally. That they will wanna explore other genres with Astro n the future.
Absolutely bud, every since I played Astro’s rescue mission in VR I knew it was something special that reminded me so much of Mario, since that day I have wanted a full game so badly, it’s a perfect fit for a PS mascot and with the tech demo as well being insanely fun and immersive with the functionality, I’m so happy there’s a proper big full game coming out!
This game would suffer much more if it wasn't on (essentially) an ssd. Fantastic job by the developers and great job by the Engineers at Nintendo! 👏 brovo!
I was always more for the mainline 2D platforming and 3D adventure Mario titles, Paper Mario never really peaked my interest until now, better late than never I suppose 😂
Yeah i noticed that i quite often dive into the 64 collection on Switch, Paper Mario has never really peaked my interest until now I was more into the 2D Mario platforming titles and mainline 3D adventures, so I definitely think I’ll give Paper Mario 64 a go at some point

Personally I don't see it as a special edition and more like a new color variant, with a few understated mario references. I actually prefer it that way but I'm not a console collector. I'm only looking for one model to fit my needs functionally and aesthetically. I like the "hint" of mario and the red as a representation of the Switch's color theme.
I strongly agree with you, it definitely grows on you it’s simple, it isn’t too cluttered or in your face with Mario branding with nice touches to Mario Easter eggs that’s simple and effective. I absolutely love the Mario Red colour as well
Same, Nintendo is all good over there! No drama or issues like Sony and Microsoft are having at the moment, Nintendo is definitely doing things right while I feel both Xbox and PS… definitely Xbox! Aren’t exactly doing the right thing for the community, dev and gamers as a whole. Gotta love PS as well, yes they have their issues that’s been known and addressed but also at least they are putting on top quality games unlike Xbox over there that seems to be having a major melt down and identity crisis

the problem with xbox is they offer nothing that playstation nintendo or steam dont have. all the time we see. -unfinished games besides of hifi rush -poor communication. -bad leadership. I think its been quite enough this time.
Let’s be honest, Xbox unfortunately haven’t been relevant since the 360 days and the Xbox One ruined them, they haven’t been able to recover from that even though they did try time and time again. Hi-Fi Rush was incredible and super successful for them, and Xbox praised them so much and still shut them down for the “growth of Xbox to be healthy going into the future” even though Hi-Fi Rush was a big factor in that successful growth… they say they want to get into Japan but then shut down their only big Japanese studio Tango and accidentally put a message out there that “Our platform isn’t meant for Japanese gamers” Xbox is going back on all their promises it seems, they are lying to the community and who’s actually in charge over there? It’s a mess and they are having a complete meltdown and identity crisis

Clickbait BS video. Nothing was announced for Nintendo Switch 2. They literally did the opposite of announcing anything. They said they WON'T be mentioning (announcing) anything about a successor.

I agree I absolutely love the OLED Switch, it’s a shame the Switch 2 isn’t going to be an OLED but if the specs are there right of the box I think it will be better with the sacrifices made. I still do think in the future though that we will get an OLED model at some point

Its not much of a portable system with a gargantuan sized screen. 7" should be the limit IMO, I also don't like the idea of the new joy-cons being magnetically attached to the side. That magnetism is going to weaken over time.
It will defintely take a bit to get used to the new system , unless when connected with the magnets there might be a switch to lock it in place so it doesn't as easily detach? maybe, and as for the size I love that it's going to be 8 inches, yes not as portable and easy to carry around with that size but I love bigger handheld consoles.

@AnvilPictures unfortunately you won’t be able to offline, so you will need at least the standard edition of PS Plus and it’s not really a game to play by yourself, definitely a much more team co-op focused game bud

I respect and appreciate your decision because I’m all for people deciding for themselves if a game is for them or not, not being swayed by what others are saying to them to potentially buy it and not enjoy it. I don’t want anyone wasting their money on a game they won’t like it.
