Tonight, I heard this amazing group at Caramoor Center for Music and Arts in Katonah, NY. This song and their version of Hallelujah had me in tears. They are a very talented and spirited group. I am now a groupie and want to see them again. They also work extensively with young people and schools.
I just listened others versions after listening this one, to discover this music better. But finally i came back here, because the sound is just perfect. i heard too fast version that loose the soul and depths of this piece. And with violin, it's even more beautiful than cello (while i normally love celly over violin)
All the notes are sticking to my head like magnets to .. iron? Anyway it’s hard to say in words but very touching.. I love Yekwon’s playing so much.. heavier and stickier also at the same time airier ..

I’ve been suspicious when people say they got consolidation from music. But now I really understand. Whether it’s because of the music or because I recently and going through so called midlife crisis in need of some consolidation.. I’m now even grateful for this crisis so that I can find new meaning of music.
