I see that you are still playing with those active grip sticks. A long time ago I made a comment about the sticks not warming up when you was talking about dropping one. I still use my active grips even now.
ironically recently I switched and dropped a stick. for sure, have to 'stick' with the active grip sticks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DYVcdfc3xqE.html
Wow... I've never heard this song played like THIS before... but it's absolutely incredible. I love the harmonies and the very quiet first part of the song before the band comes in. I may try and do an arrangement that combines this version and the original/Kutless version with the driving rock rhythm. Very well done, you guys!
So delighted to find this here after telling a friend about Chris & Yakudo as she had no idea about taiko drumming. Got a bit teary-eyed and it brought me back. The power of seeing them live was incredible & something I'll cherish. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for leaving a comment -- Chris Kano had some incredible talent as a musician and a special ability to bring out the very best in each member as a taiko teacher. There was so much more going on behind the scenes I wished we captured - he always gave 110% to each performance and inspired many to keep following their passions and dreams. Cheers!
It’s the Roland TD-30. I created the drum sounds based off the Stage kit and tweaked the Tom’s, added the sizzle on the ride, and changed a crash to have a sizzle and China.
Thank you for sharing your talent your my inspiration of learning how to play drums. I love the way you play more videos please God bless you and your band
I didn't have the audio input cable in correctly... the little details that I miss :) thanks for checking out the video and having a little laugh - blessings!
