We are Kevin and Katie, and we created Get two It to share our adventures.
We have always loved the great outdoors, searching for our next adventure. We have travelled to some incredible places and experienced many amazing moments.
We have fallen in love with walking, finding any excuse to put on our hiking shoes and get outdoors.
Our passion started when we set our sights on walking the Inca Trail to reach Machu Picchu, and we haven't looked back since.
We have some exciting plans for the future, so stay tuned to find out where our adventure takes us next!

Is it me or at the start of the video your voices are not in time with you when you are talking. It ruined the video when I was watching it. Please check your video before posting on youtube.
Hi just watched your blog on the GGW I thought it was absolutely brilliant I hope to do this soon with my support dog Fergus your pronunciation was fab thank you ❤
Thank you for making this video guys. It was awesome, so informative, and such likeable people. Could I ask if it’s ok, how you guys washed and stayed fresh during the holiday? Thanks 🙏
Great video, hour on the treadmill flew by. The trail didn't look that busy..or did you only shoot when no one was around? I felt so happy to see you both make it to rhb and throw your stones into the sea.
Oh Katie, you poor girl. I have done miles in boots over the years until pain (from 3 different issues) forced me to admit defeat. Or should that be de-feet…… 3 years ago I got back on a bike and am loving the outdoors all over again. It is not the same as yomping up the hills in a pair of boots, but I am overjoyed to have found some freedom to get out there again (in my 60s), get wowed by amazing views, feel the wind in my face, smell the trees and the earth, and listen to the birds. Hope you have found a solution to your feet problems.
Great vid ,doing this with one of my daughters in July for charity,I suffer with blisters on my left heal no matter what I put on it ,but then I goy some inner socks called arma skin, real game changer for me not one blister since I’ve had them ,have a look at them best monies I’ve spent ,keep the vids coming
Well, I quite enjoyed that. But instead of getting the train from Inverness down to Aviemore to start the East Highland Way, you could have hiked the East Highland Trail there. Yeah, that's right, there are two footpaths with a similar name. Genius! 🙄
Good evening. Love the video. Would like to do the hike myself some time. I need one of those water bottles you were squeezing, to get water through your mini filter - 6.49 minutes in. Will you let me know the brand and what it is actually called? Many thanks. David.
It really is flat as a pancake around there. However it looks very quiet which is nice. I can imagine there are lots of wild camping opportunities in copses and woods
Hi Katie, your sleeping bag looks good for colder nights, we are doing the Cotswold way this summer, it’ll be our first self sufficient hike! We don’t know what temperature rating sleeping bag to get, would you recommend anything? I was looking at a 5deg one but wondering if that will be too cold? Any thoughts would be much appreciated, thank you 😊
Hello, our sleeping bags have a comfort limit of -6°C, 3 seasons, lightweight and packs small(ish). I like being warm at night (and do tend to feel the cold) so I would personally take my sleeping bag during the summer months but some may find it too warm. I also tend to use a sleep liner (sea to summit, thermolite reactor) which helps to add extra warmth if needed. What you could look at is the 5°C option with a liner then you have the option to add the layer. Also depends on you and what temperature you feel comfortable at. 😁
Hi there, love the channel. We are looking to do the west highland way mid 2024. Looking to do over 9-10 days, what size backpack would you suggest we consider?
This video inspired my wife and i to do the GGW in June 2022. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ABPhSzCY2vQ.html We also took 5 days but did it in the opposite direction from Inverness to Fort William. We found wild camping to be a great option on this route. Thanks for the insights and encouragement.
Hi. Enjoyed watching this a second time. I' impressed with the open views and scenery, and how well you did working through all of the challenges. Question: Do you plan to do the Pennine Way? I've watched another video series on that and it looks interesting. Thanks, and God Bless.
Hey there Ken! The coast to coast is an amazing hike and definitely keeps you on your toes. We would love to do the Pennine Way! Need to get enough time off from work. The hike would take us around three weeks. Hopefully soon we will have our Tour Du Mont Blanc video upload for you to watch next.
@@GETtwoIT Thank you for your replies. I enjoy your videos and the wonderful scenery from the country I once lived in (1963-1966). I plan to watch your other videos and will be looking forward to your Mount Blanc video. Understand about 3 weeks off problem! I've been section-hiking the AT (Appalachian Trail) since Feb. 1992. Am now near the 1100-mile point in Pennsylvania. Originally, I was only doing a few days at a time, then expanded to 2, 1-week hikes. Because of work and family, some years I didn't do any new trail, hence the long time it has taken me. Now, I'm retired (age 70) but plan to continue on north, probably doing 10-15 days at a time. Might only get to the 1500 mile point in northwest Connecticut, but that would be fine. Have seen so many wonderful things in the Lord's beautiful Creation. Since your hikes are normally in open areas, wanted to share one video of mine showing one of my favorite parts of the AT thus far - Virginia Highlands. It is high and open with views. Here's the address for that video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bI4AB5R3IvQ.html I hope you both are well and are very blessed as a couple and individuals in the coming year. I appreciate your fine channel and consider it very good and wholesome to watch. God Bless!
Great video, whetted the appetite to make the effort. Just one question, how did you get to the start and then from Robin Hood Bay i.e. would you recommend train, bus etc.
Hey there Robert! Happy New Year! We took the train from Newcastle to Carlisle. On the day, the bus didn't fit our plans, so we took a taxi (Cost then est 30-40quid).
Hello again. Hope you both are doing well, especially when considering what has happened in the past 2+ years. I enjoyed watching your walk again, and am again impressed with how much you both overcame to make it through bad weather and sore feet. Well done! About to start watching your Coast to Coast walk. God Bless in 2023!
Hi. Watched this again recently and continue to be impressed by: 1. Beautiful scenery 2. Your working through the difficulties of the weather. I didn't mention this in the previous comments, but I lived in England from May, 1963 to Jan. 1966. My Dad was stationed at RAF Alconbury (US Air Force). We lived in St. Ives and Warboys and went to American schools on base. I had good English friends, and loved being there. I was ages 10-12 so was old enough to enjoy and understand what I was experiencing. I recall seeing signs for "Public Footpaths" and even at that age, had an early desire to hike. As an adult, I started hiking in 1972 and since 1992, have been section-hiking the Appalachian Trail. I'm about half way and now at age 70, still love hiking. I look forward to viewing more of your hiking videos of the trails in the UK. My AT hikes are documented on my channel in the series "Walking in Creation, Hiking the Appalachian Trail". Hoping you have a very blessed 2023... God Bless!
Hello both. I’ve been watching this adventure gradually over the last few days and really enjoyed it. Really well vlogged and great seeing you enjoying it so much. Feeling inspired and looking to do this route in 2023. Thanks again - Ben
I,m a latecomer but after a recent weeks Holiday there came to check you out not disapointed brilliant place and that,s after other Hol,s on Mull and Harris the last few years our Holiday Cottage was actually at Kings Cross I suspect you may have walked past it Thanks for posting
Thank you for showing us some of the challenges and hardships as well as the amazing stuff. Good to see a YT hiker taking a sensible day off with an injury, good to hear about a boring stretch or an unpleasant wet/windy bit - not that you were complaining or negative about it but just to give a more realistic view of the experience for watchers who are planning their own. I think l would have stayed in Richmond and split the two 20 mile days into three shorter days, with the four miles after Richmond included, 45 /3 sounds more comfortable!
