Hi everyone, and welcome to SCOOBYDIVING, a name coined by my son when he was young, because I was always out diving so much. I am an avid technical diver and an instrument-rated pilot. If you like these videos, please give them a thumbs up, leave a comment, and consider subscribing. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much my friend. By ‘old school’ do you mean dead reckoning, or VOR to VOR? I’ll have to check my future plans but will definitely keep it in mind. Take care.
Would have really enjoyed your video but in my opinion, it wasn't a great idea to do this flight set up in the dark. I'm learning this plane and you clearly know the engine start well, but all we could see was you hitting switches in the dark - unable to see the labels of all the switches you were controlling. An alternative would have been to get the battery on then put the full dome light on, so we had a clear view of what you were doing.
Hi, and thank you for commenting. I have another video that was posted a few weeks ago during the daytime. Have a look here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wFZbIsOcxOo.htmlsi=DyqcyRm5x4mJBoRu
no offence, i used this to hep me fall asleep. its better than rainstorms, I dont mean that as an insult. I love the sounds and the calm talking, and everything. great video man, thanks, I could fly all day.
I don’t, sorry. Haven’t used P3D in a few years since changing over to MSFS. Depends on your system. I’d start with a baseline and make small incremental changes each time. Good luck and happy Thanksgiving bud.
Lmao this is wild I live right around the corner from Quonset naval air station. You ain’t the only person to fly around the air there lol Richard Nixon took his flight test for the navy there during ww2. You from rhody?
Wow. My father flew a YS-11 for Airborne Express a very long time ago. I’m glad this airplane found a place other than a scrapyard. It’s a cool airplane.
Here's the analysis provided by an Aiirbus pilot... "The FMA on the PFD reads THR CLB and CLB, so the thrust is going to remain in the CLB mode until it transitions to ALT, then it would switch to Speed. Thrust will only reduce when in Speed mode. You leveled off manually before it transitioned to ALT so it didn't reduce switch itself to Speed mode. If you're flying manually with the FD's on, it is critical to follow the FDs to avoid this. Make sure you fly the FD's and don't begin the level off until it transitions from THR CLB, CLB to SPEED, ALT*" Hope this helps someone!
@@scoobydiving no problem, are you an actual pilot ? Because your skilled with these approaches is top notch id love to see a video explaining how to do rnav, Ils and all the cat’s from 1-3.
Hey, that's a great idea. So many places to see. Did you know that MSFS2020 uses Bing maps to generate terrain? If there is something you want to see specific, you could look at Bing and it would be the same scenery. Personally, I am not a big fan of Bing, but their maps tend to be better quality than other competitors. Cheers!
Hey! Since you're in the area, how 'bout heading south and doing a loop or two around ACK?! I'm really curious to see how well the AI interprets the lighthouses and all those short scrubby trees all over the Island.
That’s a good idea. I will take a look. What I’m seeing now is most if not all ground RL objects are there. I have to work this week but will see what I can do. Thanks
Hi scoobydiving, I have the same hardware configuration as you but I don't have your fps rate. May I ask you how did you manage the software to get that? Thank you very much
Turn off V-Synch and ramp up maximum frames all the way to the right (unlimited). All other settings set to ultra or high. This should give you optimal frame rate. Good luck!
Well, with P3D v4 and PMDG I was averaging somewhere around 40 to 50 frames. To be honest, I didn't even look how P3D v5 compares to it, but it would be interesting to take look. Ryzen seems to be working really good so far, hasn't let me down yet, it's only about 25% loaded on the CPU end. GPU is probably the biggest consideration and cost, I heard AMD encoders seem to be buggy if you plan to capture videos for YT or something like that, plus AMD don't have anything to compete with Nvidia on the high end (yet). Best of luck with your new built!
I agree that out of the box, I would expect the default scenery to be vastly improved in this day and age. However, ORBX have released a P3D v5.0 update, I will post another clip after the update just to see how much it improves the landscape. Thanks for watching and commenting!
