Treaturous blessing Forbidden crypt Mortal Coil Witch Hunt / Jinxed Idol Bronze Bombshell There is that Trojan Horse. I'm sure there is more that i'm not thinking about right now.
You can't donate Treacherous Blessing since it sacrifices itself when it is targeted, which is not that bad, but it is not what you wanted. Try Demonic Lore, it is the same, but gives more pain
I like the deck and the commander a lot! I do have a question about running reliquary tower though. Wouldn’t it be beneficial to discard vehicles to feed into Greasefang?
I was there when Champions of Kamigawa released. I made a deck full of rats, and was able to summon marrow gnawer and ink eyes easy. I made friends pissed.
Arcane bombardment copies cards, then you cast them. Sadly doesn't work with Parnesse, who triggers off of copying spells themselves. Still amazing in the deck though
I love how invasive a marrow gnawer deck can be. I doubling cubed up to 48 mana, I milled my bros out for 45, cast 12 relentless rats which triggered bontu’s monument, then instead of prolonging the inevitable i sacked 4 rats with ashnods altar and cast akromos memorial and gave them all haste with trample. I did 233 damage that turn. I needed new clothes after that game.
Doing deep research into redirect for a Jared Carthalion deck, effectively slow acting redirect but useful for monarch politicking and some early game presence. One of the deepest pulls is learning banding properly cuz its basically just a combat exclusive redirect (practically you'd only redirect on 2 attackers at a time but it makes defense just as impossible to break with the other redirectors). Definitely worth thinking as a pet interaction if all else fails
As someone new-ish to the game and trying to build this deck, this video was really helpful! I loved the way you explained how the cards interact, and what parts of their abilities we care about. tysm!
I really like the sorceries you included in this deck! One inclusion that isn’t that expensive and I think really feeds into this deck’s game plan is Anger. It’s 2.39 right now due to the lord of the rings set reprint.
Definitely some interesting keeps, a lot of them are ones other people instantly recommended getting rid of. nihilor, wand of orcus, propaganda, extract brain, rod of absorption and wily come to mind immediately as ones most people recommended cutting. I think this might habe been because you thought tokens worked with triggering sefris, which others also thought, but im fairly sure doesnt actually work because even though they go to the graveyard they arent 'creature cards" when they do, and hence dont trigger Sefris. Obviously im very late to this video, but i appreciate your input as I'm considering making a deck made from Sefris.
Hey just wanted to say I ended up building this deck with my own modifications today! Can’t wait to play with my buddies! Thanks again mate and cheers 🥂
I have to disagree about which commander is the win con. Rhoda can become absolutely massive and there are plenty of ways to either tap all creatures defending player controls, or just make him unblockable. Not to mention flying isn't hard to get at all either.
Thanks for the deck list! What would you cut for the Grand Abolisher from the new Randy Vargas secret lair? It's the first card (that I know of) directly made with Stormlight Archive in mind
I'm currently building Sedris - focusing to use mostly creatures that either blinks, mills, and reanimate - check out my decklist in deckstats - lukenzur is I :)
I’ve got the Almighty in my Momir Vig deck too. If I combo off into infinite mana I search him out, buff him into an unstoppable beast and steamroll my opponents with trample. Otherwise he still hits the table to help me go off with Craterhoof. Legit the deck has improved since I put him in.
That is card draw so take out the bad card artifact like howling mine. You are probably better with greater good effect card draw though. The draw cards = highest power and toughness. You could also take out bad high cmc creatures that don’t do anything other than being big. Great henge is a great replacement for one of those as it is a card that requires a board state (mana state) to cast.
