Hi Paw! Welcome to our channel! Grab a seat, get some cookies and take a stroll on our channel! We are Tinkering Paws, selling pawsome 3D printed board game inserts & accessories and love playing board games! Kim and Christoph are the names and Germany is our country. BUT we always were annoyed of a slow game setup (especially when there was a long rule explanation...) and TADAAA! Tinkering Paws was born! No assembly! No zip baggys! No heavy storage boxes! Just hand over a box to a player and you are all set! Become a PAW today and slay down the masses of board game materials! Happy Playing!
What is holding Slane in place if you just put it straight down? Why not a diagonal slide in from the corner? Thinking maybe the dragon will hit against the box lid when traveling with the box, which could damage it.
Would have preferred if all the gameplay elements where in the base game box and just some of the optional boss minis where moved to the extra box. That way the extra box would be optional to bring, now it is needed. Overall, looks like a 4/5 in design.
There is a ring around Slanes base that keeps him in place. Unless you shake the box really hard, he will stay where he is. If there would be a slot - like for the other miniatures - he could slide along that slot all the time, because it would be a horizontal slot.
@@tinkeringpaws Just giving some creative feedback and explaining why this insert wouldn't work for me. No worries. :) I, like many players, travel with my games to game nights in board games backpacks using busses and local trains. Due to the dimensions of this box, it has to travel on it's side in a big board game backpack, so one of the short sides down. In that position Slane would not be secure at all. And there is always bumping around, putting the backpack down on commuter trains or subways, passing people on busses etc. And that is another reason it is important for me that all core components are in the core box when the game is this big, so I don't have to bring more than this huge box. So not having the health trackers in the core box is not great. If there is a revised edition in the future I would be interested, but as it is now sadly I'll pass even though overall it looks great.
Just a little insight from Christoph Rose: "Starting Deployment Tokens are kept in the Rebels bag". Because they are drawn from there anyway. :)" In case you were wondering why the double set of 8 deployment tokens don't go into T1. That said...this assumes you have a Rebels bag.
I´ve been looking for a way to craft my own organizer but man... this is just so perfect and alreagy worked on XD I might as well buy it since I want to collect and paint every expansion buyable. Nice job!
Just received and assembled mine - it is awesome, everything fits to the milimeter in the Big Box with all KS goodies and sleeved cards - thanks for making this amazing product
I doubt anyone has already gotten it. We just started shipping it a couple of days ago. But feel free to browse our own website or our etsy shop, to see what customers are thinking about our products. We have thousands of reviews. // edit: Well, looks like someone in the comments here already got his. :)
It costs more than the base game, but it also supports more than the base game. The All-In Pledge was 260 $ + VAT + shipping. Which is MUCH more than this product.
Yes, we tried it. But we didn't find a satisfying solution: Problem are the 3 boards that are placed at an L-shape. It is kind of hard to explain, but it was basically wasting alot of space, or risking to get the boards damaged.
@@tinkeringpaws just received my copy. It's soooo good. Thanks for the attention to detail. I am seeing success with the board on top (reverse ordered the extra boards) so I am happy to see that for a quicker setup. Thanks again!
Amazing organizer: i just received mine and i'm very happy how all the minis found their own space, so everything is in order. Next game the prep time will be halved!
I was really interested in this but the price to canada is insanely high (364 dollars estimated!!). Is it usually this expensive, will there be any sales? Thats a large investment!
@@tinkeringpawscheckout page, I can send an image to an email but the subtotal is 452.06 before shipping plus 84 for express (86 for other option) I chose dark blue colour and the original items still says 306 so I assumed that it was import fees and high taxes
@@tinkeringpawshi I'm going to edit my original comment seems in the cart it shows as more expensive than it actually is. Not sure what is going on in the site, my original point about the price still stands as it's still very expensive. Are there ever any sales?
@@bluekillers700 We don't do any big sales, but for example you get a 5% discount code, if you subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of the website: tinkeringpaws.de/
Great job, this looks like a very nice insert for this massive game. Just one small correction to the video: Giant Man was mentioned as Multiple Man when you showed his own insert.
Oops! You're right! Unfortunately, there is no way to change a video once it has been uploaded, but at least I'm going to update the PDF instruction. Thanks alot!
This looks awesome! Do you know how much friction there is with the minis and the trays? I paint my minis and curious if any paint from the bases wears off a bunch with this great setup
Most of the minis slide in quite easily, but unfortunately the bases are quite often bent and not flat and some of them aren't even real circles. So you probably need to invest some time in getting the bases correctly, to protect the paint. In same cases it might help to slightly file the slots of our insert with sandpaper. But some miniatures - like the Sentinels - rely on having a tight fit to keep them in place. This causes no harm to the miniatures, but I wouldn't be too sure about the paint.
Thank you! We truly appreciate your interest and the feedback regarding the cost of our inserts! Our pricing reflects our commitment to providing high-quality board game inserts. These inserts are carefully designed and crafted for durability, practicality, and an improved gaming experience. One key feature that sets us apart is the expandability of our inserts, which allows you to accommodate future game expansions with just an upgrade pack. This not only saves you money but ensures that your gaming collection remains organized and efficient. We understand that our inserts may appear more expensive upfront, but they offer both value and a convenient solution for storing your beloved board games =D
For everyone wondering if this works for the BIG BOX, too, please start watching at 7:06 min =D You just have to organize the components of the insert differently. You're welcome!
I understand the concern, and I appreciate your feedback! Our goal is always to provide top-quality products and exceptional service to our paws :) We paid more on Kickstarter for our board game and still don't own all the buyable add-ons! So you are lucky if you bought it for a cheaper price :) like our insert is priced similarly to the full pledge, it's important to consider the value it adds. Our insert is meticulously designed to enhance your gaming experience, offering perfect organization and protection for your components. Plus you get way more space on your game shelf! Comparing our price to others in the market, like the Feldherr insert priced at 260 €, you'll find that our insert at 233 € not only provides a competitive option but also maintains our commitment to quality. We've invested a lot in ensuring that our insert is the best fit for your game, and we believe the added convenience and protection it offers make it a worthwhile buying
Regarding the token boxes, Some campaign backers received 4 large "gift" metal keys as well as 4 small metal keys. We don't have to use these "gifts" for game play of course but with a little rearrangement there are ways to make them fit in the token tray. If you look at the rule book it also shows keeping 6 "Blank" tokens. Using this various trays you will also find a home for these. Note also the Wall/Clock hand token will find a spot in the trays as well. Hopefully you will not inadvertently toss these out when you un-punch the cardboard. I did initially and had to retrieve at least one from my recycle bin (before it was picked up by the truck). To be fair, I haven't actually played through the game to determine whether the blank tokens are actually used but why show them in the component list in the rulebook if they are not. You will also find a home for the additional 5th player tokens in their respective trays. Also note that "alternative" miniature releases are not covered by this organizer (Heroes and Creatures) as well as the intricate card holders; these were considered "decorative" and have no impact on gameplay. Kittenburg isn't supported either but that was a late expansion perhaps released to help offset shipping costs or just to make cat people happy. For card sleeving campaign supporters you will find that the placement of miniatures and the 3 card boxes will not require lid lift if you re-use the box that arrived containing all the sleeves and meant to store sleeved cards. Technically this meant that at least 2 of the card boxes didn't need to have the upper lid lift corner support as part of the design but it doesn't do any harm to have them with the support anyway. Awesome! Of course I might welcome an organizer to contain the alternative accessories if Tinkering Paws designs one to cover them in the future.
Hey Sidney! Your input is absolutely pawtastic, and we truly appreciate it! During our early stages, we didn't fully dive into crowdfunding campaigns. However, as our journey progressed, we recognized that exactly these storage solutions are being demanded within the gaming community. This realization led us to go all-in, acquiring everything gameplay-related. By the way, it's crazy that we somehow missed out on the Kittenburg expansion! 😭 I'm seriously feeling the need for it! Thanks again for your amazing support! 🐾🎮
Why would you need those names? Are you having troubles adding all the minis to the racks? Remember: #M1 has some empty spaces that you could also use. You might also want to check the PDF-Instruction at md2.tinkeringpaws.de/ - You can probably identify most of the heroes from the pictures.
At 7:02 you missed storing the plastic tube that connects the balloon to the base. This tube is attached snugly to the transparent miniature container and may be overlooked. Do not forget to remove this before discarding the original insert.
I would almost prefer having an extra box of storage to make this more usable. For example, 6:54 if you want to get the bottom boards out you would need to get A LOT of things out of the box. I think what you have put together is great and you condensed it down but at the expense of being more accessible to actually being played.
Thank you for your important input! The boxes for Horizon are very high and that made it hard to not store anything above the tiles to save space 😅 You only need to grab the miniature racks, two in one hand, put them on the table, get the tiles you need, and then put them back :) If the tiles had fit in one expansion box, we would have stored them there and secured them with boxes on the edges :)
Phenomenal, but I was thinking my upgraded plastic components replaced the cardboard originals yet this seems to give me a place to store both. I kind of have mixed feelings about the "wasted space" for those willing to discard the originals. To be fair I haven't actually tossed my original stuff yet just placed them in a repository of tokens that were upgraded. That said I haven't actually played the game so now I'm wondering if I was supposed to keep the original tokens around for various purposes and they should coexist with these plastic upgrades. For those willing to accept the all in one storage and refuse to toss extras aside this seems like a perfect solution. I just haven't figure out yet if I'm in that camp.
We were thinking if most of the people would throw away the cardboard boxes, or not 😅 We simply didn't know, so we just let it stay. If I stored the cardboard tiles elsewhere, I would probably lose them somewhere. Then I'd be sad even though I never used it... Additional space might never be wrong as someone else might have some extra accessories for the game :)
so close to perfect. Well some of us insane sleevers want to use the 5 x 6 sleeve that were part of the PM. Tempted to just see if I should use the KS promo box for those and go ahead with this insert. So far I think I'm comparing this with LaserOx for my final choices but there are a lot of insert designs to pick from. I don't like a bunch of the inserts were the minis are just globed together in various trays. Tinkering Paws has experience in giving inserts a safe home. Kudos.
The 100-micron sleevers are the ones, that give us an additional challenge! First, the game itself with all its massive boxes (our shelves are aching due to all the Kickstarter games coming!) and then the challenge of the sleevers hit 🤣 The final boss so to say! Not 60 microns, but 100 microns!
@Tinkering Paws worse is the fact that FFG designed 100 microns with extra height. Sleeve Kings carries this tradition on with their premium 100 microns. FFG really sparked my interest in sleeving back in the day with their sleeving guides on the game box bottom. Even if someone says the insert supports 100 microns it won't mean it supports the FFG style height automatically.
