In my AU I'm going w/ the William was Possessed Route but slightly Different. He's had a Sortve Sentient Agony Spirit coexisting inside his Body since he was 8. This Agony Spirit goes by the Name of David Miller and had been slowly gaining control over him, causing violent outbursts and Blackouts where David would take control, Since He was possessed by David, David was the one committing all the Crimes. Essentially William wasn't a Murderer, he was Possessed by a Murderous entity that Controlled his Body. So he's an angel because he was Essentially innocent. On top of that he shows A great deal of remorse that his Body was used to end the lives of Children his family was so close to (minus Gabriel, Gabriel was a Dick)
