The whole we are one idea. I believe it. But it also means the things that suffer is connected to you In some way. The answer to nihilism is scientific.
Not quite, the truth here is actually more telling, I think. The reason it’s “reddere,” if you look at the word’s usage over time, is because of connotations of giving up one’s possessions to someone else. It seems to have originated in English as a legal term for the surrender of one’s belongings, and only later got used to mean surrendering oneself. That “sur-,” meaning above or over, is actually doing the same thing as the “over” in “hand over.” I don’t mean to be pedantic for the sake of pedantry. You say surrendering isn’t the same as giving up, that it’s actually raising oneself “up” and then “giving” back… but then that’s also what “giving” “up” is. If it’s better to surrender to God than to man, that it makes you stronger not weaker, then the etymology has nothing to do with it. It’s about what you do, who you give to and what you give, not what word you use to describe it. I hope I haven’t been disrespectful, I’m passionate about both spirituality and linguistics and I hope to add to the reflection here, not detract from it. You actually prompted me to look at this etymology more closely and I learned some new things, both from you and from my research after, and made a connection I wouldn’t have otherwise! Which is always cool ^^
Why don’t you say that you just don’t know? You don’t know. And you know that you don’t know so you could just say that. Knowing that you don’t know is far more of a spiritual awakening.
@@Dianawales you're correct, I don't know. It is merely a belief I decided to share. You might enjoy my video on Belief vs Truth ☺️ I go into more detail about beliefs there. Thanks for commenting ☺️
I’m pretty sure those with ADHD have physically smaller frontal lobes and delayed growth in this brain area. Could be wrong but I think while most people’s brains are ‘fully developed’ by 25, ADHD peoples aren’t developed until 30
I have started my spiritual journey long time ago, approximately 15 years ago. Lived in Amazonia, did master plant dietas and multiple Ayahuasca ceremonies. I know my traumas and my shadow. They have nothing to do with my ADHD. I still have ADHD and always will. You have really no clue about how dopamine works .
If that were true then you'd think it would stop at some point? But it has not stopped since I was a child. I meditate EVERY morning, do yoga, therapy etc. I still struggle with it, even if it does help...
@@HonestlyHolistic In my experience the mind doesn't stop, but thoughts slow down once trauma / stuck energy is engaged with on an energetic level. I'd recommend you check out Rupert Spira if you haven't already. Blessings to you 🙏
Guys only trust ADHD advice from someone who is a professional because, lol, this dude is a loser, i am 40 in India, have been told I am lazy and a quitter all my life, I have blamed myself for failing school, profession, and relationships throughout. on a whim, I went to a neuropsychiatrist in my city only to be diagnosed with ADHD, Dyslexia & Social disorders. I am on Counselling & Meds and I am doing way better in the last 2 months than my entire life and you say it's not real.
Thank you for sharing this. I genuinely wish you all the best and please remember another person's opinion doesn't need to dictate how you think or act. You are sovereign. Thank you for being here, take care :)
@@Soulology8 You too take care and please don't let yourself become a loser, but plz don't let me dictate how to live your life. b/c you too are sovereign. cheers :D
Absolute nonsense. ADHD is not some superpower, or spiritual awakening or trauma... trauma is a side product from the many things we hear and have internalised about ourselves over the years. It can exaccerbate things but that does not make it the condition. Its something you develop in childhood and the current concensus is it does not develop in adulthood. You've likely been this way away since you can remember even if it took you until your 30s (like me) to put the puzzle pieces together. but never had the knowledge or awareness that these struggles might not just be some character flaw. Not surprising since ADHD was only first diagnosable in children since 2008 and Adults since 2014 in the UK. Btw its not a mental illness, it's a developmental disorder - this demonstrates how uninformed this creator is. Message to OP: Stop with the ridiculous grand narratives. This is medical misinformation and you're essentially huffing your own farts and blowing them back in our faces. The internet has given a platform to far too many arm chair theorists. Touch grass. Heres some real advice. If you believe you have ADHD, get evaluated by a medical professional. If you can afford to, go private. I waited 18 months on the NHS. I'm now medicated and it has drastically improved where I'm at, but it's not a panacea, try to seek therapy as well. Oh and ignore psuedoscientific unfalsifiable claims from someone championing "enlightened" gurus.
good thing I don't use TikTok, or Instagram... wait... I still have ADHD and struggle DESPITE meditation, despite exercise and despite a high amount of productivity... i have a very well structured routine and I still struggle with this
Thank you for your kind and considered comment. You are correct in your assumption, I am merely sharing a perspective that doesn't need to be taken as absolute truth. 😊 Have a lovely day
Why would you believe something that you do not think is true? You are literally doing the same thing. You are giving us a description of what you believe to be true. All truth is experienced through a subjective filter and is molded and transformed by that filter. We do not have access to universal certitude due to our extremely finite perspective. You're also ignoring the concept of things being temporally true in a particular moment, but as things change over time, something that was true may become untrue. It was true that I weighed a certain amount last year but it is no longer true. You've essentially created this incomprehensible monolith you call truth. However, you do not have the ability to provide epistemic justification for this monolith. Your background as a polyglot, while impressive, is not sufficient to uncover this mysterious truth you speak. Even after thousands of years of people in a field specifically created to investigate this very subject matter, we still do not know anything for sure. Our knowledge is merely a belief we truly hold that we can use logic to justify as best we possibly can given our limitations. My boredom tirade has concluded.
As someone who actually has ADHD and has struggled with it for 39 years, who has just this morning by the way, finished that very book you speak of, ADHD is not a spiritual awakening. How do I know? Because I deal with this every day. Fight or Flight has nothing to do with the neurons in my brain firing off ten thousand times a second splitting my focus seven different ways to Mars. Like, okay, let me give you an example. I am going to ask you to remember five things. While I'm asking you to do that, at the same time, I will also give you a bunch of useless facts that have no relevance or meaning to anything. While that's going on, I'm going to have a video playing in the background that you're really interested in. Oh? Have you taken a notice of my shirt that perhaps has an image you like? Where have you seen that image before? Was that image of a TV show you like? Hey, do you remember that one time that character on that show did that thing? Hey, I kind of wish I was doing that thing right now. Now...what were the five things I said? Perhaps you can sit through it and remember them all despite the distractions and faulty information, and if you can, awesome! However, the scenario I just described is a typical day in my head. Now couple that with ADHD people having really bad short term memory at times, and I'd be lucky if I caught ONE of those things. This is nowhere near spiritual awakening. Can you overcome it with hard work? Yes, and I think Mr. Tollie's book is a very good read. It has definitely helped me and I would surely recommend it to others. However, it is very disingenuous and dishonest to say ADHD isn't real and hide behind "spiritual enlightenment". Please don't invaildate people for your spiritual beliefs. Thank you.
Astonished at the arrogance and projection it takes to purport to be spiritually awakened and to then throw out a reductive take like this thinking you've got the key to a mental condition that is well researched, well documented, and which has a treatment that is also well-researched and proven to help. ADHD correlates with lowered quality of health, relationships, self-image, education and career to name just a few things that individuals with ADHD may suffer from. And then to pile on the already steep stigma of using medication to treat it. Your take makes the world a little bit worse for people struggling with ADHD. Also the condition is not a trend, there are a lot of folks who suffer from it and the only thing trending is increasing awareness and open discussions of neurodiverse traits.
I've never heard such ignorant, narrow minded, self centred rubbish in my life. This is straight up Scientology level nonsense that the likes of Eric Berg spouts. You're talking as if ADHD - which isn't anywhere near as simplistic as you are making out - only presents itself as an issue at a certain juncture of adult life. I am almost 50, only recently diagnosed, but have struggled since I was a toddler with countless issues that I eventually just decided as I got older, were because I was useless, weak and didn't have the willpower that most others seemed to have. Spirituality does not just relegate all mental health and neurodivergent conditions as merely 'spiritual' disturbances you can power through. In fact this is the exact problem with society when it comes to invisible conditions. They ALWAYS think you just need to try harder or a different approach. You're stating this as your opinion, but it's clear you're just repeating crap you've heard, not had first hand experience of. I suggest you read at least one book on ADHD instead of relying on a clearly very narrow stereotype you've probably gotten from RU-vid and elsewhere online. And Eckhart Tolle!? Give me a break! I like Eckhart, but he's the poster boy for mainstream spirituality. Since you get your 'Spiritual' info from RU-vid and TikTok - TikTok, really!? - at least check out the teachings of Fred Davis on here. If you haven't already, maybe read some, Greg Goode, U. G. Krishnamurti and Maharaj Nisargadatta. Please don't ever presume to speak about a condition you yourself do not have. There is nothing more ignorant, and we're all ignorant enough as it is!

this is disgusting. adhd is a real mental disorder affecting millions. the fact that your trying to say its actually just some spiritual shit? adhd is literally backed up by science and its a big problem that can cause people to lose their life.
No, that is incorrect assumption. Trust the person and their descriptions of their condition. I don't have too high self-esteem, I'm pretty anxious person and so on. If your assumption is correct, that mean that I should display characteristic of ADHD, but I'm exact opposite. My thought process is slow and very structural. When I left to myself and my thoughts I feel most calm I can. When i forced to switch quickly between tasks my brain just blanks and I can't do anything, unlike ADHD people, who usually like fast-paced jobs and environments. So it's not just awareness of you own thoughts and feelings, some people really struggle with long term focus and they can't do much about it.
@@annalis9555 What are you talking about? I wrote that I do not have ADHD, if anything I have opposite of it. My argument is that according to the assumption in the video I should display characteristics of it and I don't, that shows that assumption is likely an incorrect one.
Wrong God Became Human In Jesus Christ And Died To Forgive Humanity And Bear The Responsibility Of Humanities' Sins On A Cross Before Being Resurected 3 Days Later
Yes, this story is retold over and over. Humbly put, this isn't a complex story to understand. It's pretty straightforward. You read it from a book and or another person told you the story and you then said it over and over yourself, parroting the story. Neat! 🌟💖
You should place Jesus where he was destined and where you belong - the Savior that died for you. Focus on Him, that died for you instead your vain imagination. Dangerous territory when you place yourself in place of God. Or you’re okay with being a heretic, antiChrist.
@@Magnetar_StarHeart help me with the “foundations of my own beliefs”, explain what that might be. Beliefs are personal, skewed and perverted by sin. Faith in Christ alone, regardless in my own beliefs, is regarding Christ as the sacrifice for our sins. His sacrifice. This video says nothing about Jesus, but instead describes symbolism from someone’s vain imagination. The only spiritual destination for you if you deny the Lordship of Christ Jesus is a demonic prison. Not free from the bondage of sin. There’s your box.
