I ran one of the state's largest lawn maintenance companies and learned over many years that just because a "commercial mower" says it can cut grass running at high speeds doesn't mean you should. And Ferris is absolutely one of the best mowers out there, but that being said, wet grass let alone very wet grass should never be cut at those speeds and I see the commercial burn and go services doing it all the time. Lawns do not benefit in any shape from speed mowing and in fact it only harms your grass. Apologies for sounding off like this, but when I saw how nice your lawn looks, it would be a shame to not say something.
Awesome. If you have to cut the grass, then you can't beat this! I almost bought the Polaris when I bought the Road Glide Limited. It was a close decision.
I had a 2014 Super Duke R when they were first released. Traded it in 4 years ago and still miss it. KTM makes great bikes. Electronics wise, I think they only competitor is Yamaha. Take a look at the electronics on the MT-09 and MT-10. Good review, thanks!
The heated grips/seat is one thing I don't understand about the touring ~$30K Harleys. At that price point they should be factory standard, like your almost 1/2 price Husky.
No argument from me…I love the HD but you can’t beat the Norden…Ducati has heated seats and grips also. I agree with you, I think HD come along way in 2 years I really hope they keep progressing. Great comment ride safe and in peace
We are older but still 13 hahaha forever young. I remember your first ride as I am still trying to pull the trigger on a 24 6days 500 exc f as a older guy who is facing the fact if not sooner not at all your an inspiration for fun times
Jeff I've watched you take your bike apart you've not afraid of anything...You're awesome we have to push ourselves right. This hobby is adventurous for sure. Ride safe and in peace.
I put similar knobby ATV tires on my Ferris but the sweet spot for me is 4psi. Floats, grips and smooths the ride like I can't believe. It's like upgrading to a whole new mower.
You really seem to be on top of the dimensions of your tractor and I was wondering by chance, have you weighted it? Being you filled the tires, curious if it still is within the limits of a utility trailer with the loader on it (most newer 7000gvw aluminum tandom axles can hold around 5600-5800lbs on them).
I filled the rears with beat juice I have a video on it. I strongly recommend weighting the tires especially for any kind of loader work. My trailer is rated at 14k lbs she's good. Tractor safely and in peace.
@@maraudermitchelliI was hoping the weight would be under 6000lbs with tractor loader and mower deck. I know the tractor itself is like 3800lbs or something near that. I got a 17,500 trailer but wanted to use an aluminum 7000lb trailer. Don't think I'd add tire solution as I want to cut lawn with it, any real loader work, I got big skidsteers for.
Anthony your comment is mean and hurtful. I'm thankful to the dealer for allowing me to ride this bike...two days after this ride I purchased a 2024 Road Glide from them. There was no gear grinding or dropping the clutch in this video not sure how you feel the gears were being abused. Please explain as it will help me in the future. I appreciate your honesty and accept constructive criticism. Ride safe and in peace.
@@maraudermitchelli My 11 year old son and I appreciate the great-clean content. We live in northern Michigan and have a Ranger 800xp. We don’t get the snow anymore like you but it sure is fun playing in it when we do!
I havnt heard about RF in years... back in high school (28yrs ago) I had a decked out ford escort the system was worth more then the car! Could hear me coming for a few blocks lol man I miss working on that stuff I absolutely loved it.
I installed an Alpine stereo mixer and amp in a 1974 F350 super camper special pickup truck...cool as a jewel I thought at the time...those were the days. Ride safe and in peace.
to stop the snow from plugging up in the chute, bring the machine outside from the heated garage and let it sit outside so the metal of the snowblower comes down in temperature so its not melting the snow. Start the machine and let it warm up outside for you know like 10 minutes before you start blowing snow
my moms brother just passed away he left me a Honda roukus and a Baja 125 dirt runner they need a little work but I half to start to learn again since its been like 1997 I last touched a bike well will see nice content
Thanks for the Shout Out! That was a great video. I loved the interaction at the board too. Great add to the video for someone who has never crossed into Canada. I did not realize that was your first bike rally; so cool! Free and I had a great time and thank you for saving us a table at 211. That was huge, seeing they had a 45 minute wait just to get a table on top of the time to get your food. Passing that duo of bikers was Free's fault. He gets a little impatient sometimes, I just let him do his thing and I'll do mine. Most of the time we are on the same page but sometimes, not so much. The group ride there was as nice as the event itself. Thanks for sharing this experience with us! Next one we'll do is likely June 2025! Maybe we'll have a bigger convoy next time. 👍👍
It's all good, i had to reach down and install the spark plug in my second cylinder to pass those bikes...the way I only need one cylinder. What a day so happy you rode along. Your drone footage was awesome.
I mean, all of the comments about having to spray Pam or silicon on your blower is ridiculous to me. Is this an engineering failure? Why should a snowblower have to be “doctored up” to do the job it was intended to do?
I store it in my heated garage which is the problem. When the snow touches the warm metal it forms ice then clogs the chute. A little spray solves this issue...it really works. I may store it outside this winter. Please be safe and good question by you.
@@maraudermitchelli you do that! I’m waiting for the daily ”therapy ride” in the morning 😀 Have you experienced going into ghost neutral when quick shifting?
@@grindvik In 750 miles not often but probably 4 or 5 times. Maybe between 4th and 5th gear. I found that usually it's my error not relaxing my foot setting the shifter to the staged position and then not enough follow through on the shift..it's essentially ratchet and has to be reset. I've had some false neutrals even on my Ducati.
@@maraudermitchelli sounds about the right scenario for both of us when it occurs. So it makes my life a bit easier knowing that I’m not the only one 😂
Well that's hurtful Dean but I know how much you like my tractor videos. You made my day by commenting I hope you are well and having fun working your tractor. By the way you are probably right. Tractor safely and in peace...please continue to comment and thank you for keeping on point I know you mean well.
How come you didn't get the 1390? In all fairness though this seems like a perfectly balanced bike power wise, I'd expect the 1390 to pull harder than my gen 3 Hayabusa since it's about 130 lbs lighter which is already way too much for the road above 7000 rpm
It's hard for me to use the right words as typically when i was young nothing had enough HP and I always wanted more...The 1390 just seemed so so over powerful for the way I ride on the street. If you've rode a 1290 or 1390 you know the torque is limitless, infinite, never ending, wheelie for ever I could go on and on. On my usually route I'd probably never shift beyond 3rd gear...maybe 4th. The 990 for me is just more exciting to ride because I can run the rpm and gears without riding like a complete jerk and placing me and others in harms way. If I was selecting a bike for the track of course the 1390 all day and twice on Sundays but I'm not there yet. Please let me know if I explained this sufficiently.
Great review on all three! My biggest issue with Can-AM and Polaris is the cheap factory door stops. Both SxS doors are expensive especially the full doors and the factory "stops" IMO aren't satisfactory. John Deere was smart and put struts on their doors. Video attached is an aftermarket mod that replaces the rubber strap for the Polaris XP1000. I believe they plan on coming out with the Can-Am Defender soon ru-vid.comJcc_C4VcxZc?si=XGGcXmeyQx0eRWtV
On a windy day I've certainly stretched that rubber strap for sure great comment. I believe my new Ranger XD 1500 has a stronger hinge design. Ride safe and thank you
I know I know let’s hope not so far the Husqvarna Norton 901 expedition has been running great. I hear you, brother, but they do make a fantastic product. I hope KTM is taking care of those customers with the camshaft issue safe and in peace
