@GoBucks
@GoBucks 5 дней назад
@@LWYLoutdoors this bow seems so sensitive to me. I had to take a turn out of the limbs to get it to shoot straight. Now at 66lbs. I have to shoot lighted nocks on every single arrow to get it to group right. If I change to stock nocks or other brands of lighted knocks it dances all over. I got my grip to be better but this seems overly sensitive to me. It’s been to a shop and been tuned but still doesn’t like to play ball.
@LWYLoutdoors
@LWYLoutdoors 5 дней назад
@@GoBucks so let me start by saying I’m not a professional compound shooter nor do I work in a bow shop or anything, but I will pass on the information that has worked for me as best I can in the hopes that it works for you. Regarding the bow poundage - that should not cause deviation in arrow flight unless you are using arrows that are massively underspined. 300 is a good spine number for how fast this bow shoots. Regarding the nocks being particular - it sounds like you could be experiencing some nock pinch which is where your nock is biting too hard on the string. To test this, you should be able to remove the nock from the string with only thumb and index finger with one hand (minimal effort). I would also check your D loop to make sure that you have sufficient height between the top and bottom. To test this, put your release on the d loop and twist it clockwise and counterclockwise to see if it is pinching the nock or causing your arrow to deviate any certain way. The grip is a huge factor! It should be loose and follow the life line on your hand with your thumb generally pointing at 2 on a clock face. When you say you can’t get it to shoot straight, do you mean paper tuning, or that your sights and the direction of the arrow doesn’t match? Hope this gets you started man!
@GoBucks
@GoBucks 5 дней назад
@@LWYLoutdoors so I’m definitely a fan of stiffer arrows and I’m using a 250 spine because that’s on my bear adapt single cam at 70 pounds. I’ve had a few other friends that are having issues when jumping up to cam like this. The bow paper tunes fine. But if I crank the poundage back up it is not consistent in grouping and broadheads don’t group with field points unless I crank it down to 66-67lbs. My release has a pivot so it spins freely on the D loop. I will check the knock thing but wouldn’t it seem weird that all nocks fly differently? These are common arrows with common knocks that shoot differently from my lighted ones. Even another brand of lighted shot different.
@GoBucks
@GoBucks 5 дней назад
I will add that it was tuned at 70lbs but not behaving. Not grouping. Went down to 67 and stayed consistent with which nocks I use and my grip and it’s shooting fine, but is sensitive to all of that

Why can't you do that with a compound bow
@LWYLoutdoors
@LWYLoutdoors 6 дней назад
You can’t snap shoot a compound. Gotta get it to full draw everytime. If you draw back fully prior to the throw, then sure. But the way I’m doing it here, no way
@josiahwright7114
@josiahwright7114 6 дней назад
Non-archer here... Why can't you do that with a compound bow?
@LWYLoutdoors
@LWYLoutdoors 6 дней назад
You can snap shoot traditional bows (release without being at full draw). With compound you have to get it to full draw before release. It would take too much time. Drywall would be on the ground before you were ready to shoot

Is this better than the diamond edge max ??
@LWYLoutdoors
@LWYLoutdoors 7 дней назад
I just reviewed the stats to compare the two. From what I can tell, the diamond edge max will have a greater range of draw weights, so if you are a beginner and you wanted to start with low poundage and work your way up that would work well. The IBO speed on the diamond is around 314 while I believe it is around 340 on the blackout NV-32. But as mentioned previously, the blackouts draw weight can only be set 60-70 lbs I believe. Other than that they are relatively similar. Hope this helps man

Looks great. How hard is it to pull the arrow out of the stall mat?
@LWYLoutdoors
@LWYLoutdoors 7 дней назад
Thanks man. It’s pretty tough honestly. The best way I have right now is to put my back up against it, and to use both hands to pull them out by pushing my hands away from my chest. If the arrow hits on the overlapping part, you have to pull it out of the back mat first, then the front mat. Hope this helps!

Thanks man. Got a long road ahead, but we will get there :). Regarding the breathing, I for sure inhale right before draw, then breathe throughout aiming.
