Why are scooters prohibited on the levee? If you allow e-bikes on there, wouldn't scooters fall into roughly the same category of electrified/motorized vehicle?
Currently, there are no speed classes set for scooters. Although many commuter scooters travel 15-18 mph max, there are dual motor scooters capable of speeds in excess or 40 mph. Until this gets sorted out between manufacturers and legalities, bicyclists could be mixed with very high speed scooters.
The questions and answers have been uploaded as "Permit Workshop Q&A" in the supporting materials at the bottom of the project page. See here: www.fostercity.org/commdev/page/foster-city-building-permits-community-workshop
Hmmm. Could I do something like this while having a Business Entrepreneurship and small business management background? A position is open in my town and it seems rather interesting. Like right down my alley😂
Thanks for watching, Erika! That's a great question. The Foster City Library is operated by the County of San Mateo, and it might be nice for us to collaborate with them on a future "How To" video about Library services!
Like the shirt Pat! Im so glad they made/kept that ramp down to the bike jumps. Spent a lot of time there good and bad times as a kid, i remember helping build and repair some of the jumps as they wore down from overuse as well as riding my bike home with covered in dirt, shells and blood thinking what am I gonna tell my parents when they freak out about this? Hope many more generations can enjoy it as much as I did growing up.
Very interesting. I've lived in Foster City since March of 1987, and love it here. I do have a question about fire extinguishers. Several years ago I bought one from Costco, but it was not rechargeable. Where can I purchase one and have it recharged when necessary? I've tried contacting a couple of places, but no one even had the courtesy to get back to me. Does FC Fire Dept recharge extinguishers? (I live in Sand Harbour South)
We lived (and I worked) there from 1984 to 2006 when I retired. Great community and environment, but visiting back in recent years, it seems that the density of housing is ever increasing, and empty spaces are harder to see. Friends still there tells that the traffic going in and out of the city is getting harder and harder, especially at commute time. Great memories!
I miss my hometown.😢. Iived there from 1971 through 1984. Was recently there back in May. Boy has it sure changed. Some of it I still recognize. There's an old saying " You sure can't go home again". I'll say😢
Need to have a financial understanding component if owner cant afford to maintain property the government should hire kawn service to take care off it Most of the time its due to money as to why the owner is not maintaining property
Great video. I hope to see many more. We have nice parks in Foster City due to the tireless work of our Parks Maintenance Workers. The work they do goes unnoticed by most of us and is under appreciated. This was an excellent example of the work they do and the pride they take in making Foster City look beautiful. Please share a heartfelt thank you to all of them.
Lmao Danny! "We go in straight lines" and "I won't try too hard." Thanks for the hard work keeping our parks good. Never knew u worked for the city. (Probly did just don't remember).
what a horrible shitty graffiti infested POS wall this will be....I bet the neighbors will love this! esp when the graffiti goes up and the homeless move in....and the property values go down....Is the sea level rise gonna be that high?
