I have a female like the 1st one. Img, motley t1 anery het kahl. 2yo and solid black with dark chrome eyes and still a little white on her chin down her neck. She’s still little though. A little over 3ft

Last weekend I gave my boy a chick. An hour later he was thrashing about and looked like was trying to regurgitate. Lots of choking noises. Mouth open. Breathing bad. Swollen neck. Gurgling noises. V scary!! Local vet thought it was a mouth infection and gave baytril orally but he is not a snake vet. So next day took him to a snake vet . He was gasping and I thought he was going to die on the way there. This vet was horrible tbh. Put him in an oxygen tank and left him laying in his own faeces. Did an ultrasound and said he had fluid around his heart. Wanted to put him to sleep and said I was being cruel. I refused and insisted on meds.he told me the snake woukd be dead in 24-48 ,hours and it would be a horrible death. I left traumatised. He had a shot of fortaz and more baytril. I gave him another shot 3 days later. My boy is back to normal now but I'm still continuing with the fortaz to be cautious I just want to get through this week before I start thinking about thst ultrasound. Any advice much appreciated. Thank you.
Funny how the guy calls the monitors "modern dinosaurs". when there is literally a half-dozen living dinosaurs running around in the background, and none of them look anything like a monitor lizard, or are any more closely-related to a croc monitor than they are to a human being. Modern MOSASAUR, maybe. But modern dinosaur? Not even close.
