I made these just now. They spread a bit so they aren't "fluffy" but they taste nice, kind of like shortbread and buttery. How did you get your cookies NOT to spread???? i cannot figure out how to do this. i had the oven temp on 165c and used room temp butter. where did i go wrong.
Oh no sorry they spread. You can pop the cookie dough mixture in the fridge for about half an hour and that should help them not spread. Sometimes it depends on the day, weather, how hot the kitchen is. I didn't fridge mine and they worked but it wasn't a hot day so maybe that's why. You can fridge cookie dough for up to an hour, so maybe try that next time x
@@ThreeFriendsCook Would have been helpful if you had put this tip in the recipe. I've been trying for years to stop my cookies from spreading. A friend of mine bakes cookies and they are always fluffy like yours, but they won't disclose their secret. It wasn't a hot day when I baked them and the kitchen wasn't hot. I'll try putting the batter in the fridge next time. Thanks.
