Hi I'm Ben. I've lived with Crohn's Disease (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and chronic pain since I was 12.
This channel follows my journey of discovering a truly happy and whole body, unhindered by disease.
As well as journalling my own experiences along the path to health, I'll be posting video interviews with doctors, researchers and healers on the cutting edge of holistic health, and also hear honest and inspiring stories from fellow sufferers.
If your health is not what it could be, or you simply want to learn more about your body's amazing potential to heal... then welcome. I can't wait to share this journey with you.
Sorry to hear that Gary. I don’t think it was pointless but I’d love to hear more detail about what you thought was missing from the conversation and what was disingenuous, so that I can consider how to improve. Good health to you
@@bencleaver Thanks for the reply mate, I would liked to have had a section where its dedicated to speaking on the use of BPC-157 and how it has affected crohns symptoms short term/long term, whether that be lowering CRP markers or reduced swelling, I understand you said your stomach wasn't as swollen but it would be very educational to hear from the person also selling it other stories, or even an update on how you're going with it
Great question. I've asked Kyal again for you, but last time he recommended I take 2 to 3 tablets daily for a period of 10 or so days and then taper back to 1 daily for a total of 2 months minimum. I'll update you here if his updated advice changes. Peace and health
I have chrons disease. Iv got an ileostomy bag. I haven't tried bcp-157 yet but I'd like to. Iv seen I can get tablet form but it states not for human consumption. Is this because of the lack of human trials?
Hey! Kyal's formulation is certainly made and approved for human comsumption. For us with Crohn's I'd certainly recommend the Ultimate GI Repair as BPC is just one of the beneficial ingredients for gut healing: lvluphealth.com/products/ultimate-gi-repair?variant=43337224650975 (use everybody10 for 10% offat checkout!) Love to hear how you go with it. I cycle 30 days a few times a year or if you have budget 2 months to start ;) Be well my friend
I did check out the website. I live in the UK so it would work out pretty pricey. Il get some overtime in at work so I can get some 👍. It's great to see a channel like yours promoting the other side of healing, conventional medicine hasn't been great so far, hence my ileostomy bag lol. I find staying positive really helps. Can't wait to watch your other vids.
What an intriguing guest. So much in here to think about. I find controlled, conscious breathing to something phenomenally powerful. Would love to learn more about it. I love the principle Damian alludes to here about learning to work with the body's hormonal systems to get ourselves where we need to be. Would love to hear more on this. Looking forward to Part Two. Health and Peace, Paul
Thanks for watching and your thoughtful comments Paul! It’s fascinating and inspiring. I think you’ll love part 2 as I share my experience with the practice and we do some exercise “on air”
Love this conversation. "Finding a reason...beyond yourself" is so powerful.Thank you Ben and Nathan for opening this up for us. Applicable to so many of us!
Just found your channel man, so cool you're also an aussie too. Loved the conversation you guys had, so many great points that were so relatable. Especially around the 10 minute mark, where you brought up that feeling of not being able to escape...that's the hardest battle to overcome imo. Cheers!
Thanks @Benjaymun! So glad you got something out of it. It's so rewarding just talking about our experiences too. And as you said - mind is the battlefield, where it's won and lost. Look forward to hearing from you again mate
Great to hear Erin. Thanks for the message. I learnt so much from Kerrie too. Everyone’s looking for the silver bullet fix for their health, and miss these little seemingly insignificant changes to our thinking and habits that add up to significant change. Glad to have you along for the journey mate
Big cheers Ben, great to see you launching today!! We loved watching from Christchurch, and looking forward to hearing more and sharing more with you on this journey down rabbit holes etc! Awesome stuff!! xxx
Good on you young fella! My wife has done a sterling job looking after my fat arse after my heart attack. The last few years have been tough, my wife broke both her ankles at work and has had multiple surgeries. Our young fella has a medical conditions, but wouldn't change anything for the world. I am sure at some point, we will look back and have a bit of a giggle.
Holy mackeral, is that Tim Buxton? Haven"t seen him in years. Since my heart attack a month ago, I have realised the changes required. First up, no more 10, 12, 14hr work days, it isn't worth it. I was only doing it to "please" people. My work has been very accomodating to the point of changing my role slightly. They want to work around my cardio rehab and keep an eye on my hours worked. Changing of diet and HEALTHY exercise is on the cards too.
Yes it is Pete! He interviews me for the first episode to talk about my story and where I'm going with this. Mate I'm so sorry to hear of your heart attack, but very encouraged by the way you're listening to your body (as it screamed at you!) to slow down. One of the the episodes dropping at launch my guest talks more about the communication of the body through disease and pain. AND the other is an exercise physiologist ;) It's so heartwarming to have a few "blast from the past" people like you to share this journey with. thanks mate
